News flash for you. It is no longer a thing to book well in advance to get cheap flights. I did that last year and lost £700 to save a further £400. Ie cancel and rebook the new booking was £1100 cheaper. The cheap time to book now is 3 months before you fly.

Greed will stop anything happening. Back in 2007 the owner of the school I worked at was a nasty, nasty man. Took 100baht off every Thai teacher every month (they were only paid 6,000baht a month). Last School Camp I did, 4 coaches full of students took the kids to the camp. However, only 2 coaches came to take them home. I was so angry. 4 kids to a seat, standing and sitting on the floor. I wrote a letter of complaint and his response was to go to the police accusing me of trying to take students to another school with me. Nothing happened. He had a long list of female teacher sex abuse made against him, that he would pay off... nasty, nasty man.

Used to go there for weekend breaks, using the same hotel. Then the Russians started arriving and the hotel more than doubled it's prices. Simply turned around jumped into my car and drove to Krabi. We have never looked back. We as a family love Krabi. Now we split our holiday Bkk then our house then krabi back to our house then back to bkk and home to uk. Love our week in krabi.

My fist vehicle I bought in Thailand I had my windscreen tinted with the thought "harder to spot I'm a foreigner, easy tea money". Big mistake, I hated driving at night as several times I came close to hitting/driving into vehicles especially motorbikes with no rear lights and bags blocking the head light. My next vehicle had very little tint on the windscreen. It was great seeing at night again.

I personally did not like Mr T when he was PM. But, I'm man enough to admit he was one of the best PM's Thailand has ever had for the country and the people. I fell in love with the Thailand under his Premier ship. Life was good for Thai's and expats. All stats were better, I think GDP was as high as 14%, school English proficiency was far higher than now. Never forget he was also ousted by an illegal military coup then charged in kangaroo courts. Corruption costs for businesses almost doubled and the start of persecution of expats started. We were left well alone and Mr T. new the need for Native English Teachers was needed. I just do not understand the venom expats on here show but self harm is a thing , i suppose. I do however understand the crowd of Thai's who suddenly appeared on here after the last coup singing the praise of the criminals who stole the counry and then procedded to drive into the ground arresting anyone who dared to speak out.

Thailand I've seen 15 year old marry and a 16 year old with a 55 year old man so not uncommon in Thailand. Several says forced/raped but kept going back every day?
