Errr, how do you think the USA came into being? Was it not an armed population in rebellion against a totalitarian government?
The constitution can be updated if enough people want to do that ( amendments ). Apparently not enough do.
Then is not now. Then it was a nation united against an oppressor who had to send troops from afar! The US today is a nation divided. A nation divided is ripe for totalitarian rule. Indeed that would be the excuse the government would use.

Nonsense, unless it is an out and out scam, not backed by a regulated provider. They are paid commission (obviously) out of the amount invested but they do not take 50%. There are sensible reasons to be wary of dealing with them, though.
That is exactly what private pension plans are, a scam!

That has nothing to do with the statement you quoted. Your reply has nothing to do with preventing a totalitarian government.
What makes you think armed citizens can stop a totalitarian government? Who organises such citizens into a fighting force. You are out gunned before you even start. Your only hope is that the armed services come out in defence of the citizens. But that will never happen.
The American constitution needs updating to deal with modern times. Again that will never happen.

Any Pension provider will keep half of the Pension pot. So you only get paid out half over the time span they pay out the pension.

The problem isn't keeping up with the latest tax coding it's getting it changed when it is obviously wrong.
Does HMRC know you are living in Thailand? If not that might be the reason you are over taxed. Because HMRC assume you live in the UK!

Another thread about the ongoing scandal of UK pensioners paying income tax on pension increases we have not received..Phoned them today to explain my situation only to be met with the abrupt response 'we can only go off the figures provided by DWP you need to contact them'.Not really interested in helping at all.
So I did and they were much more helpful. They said they would contact HMRC through 'searchlight' which seems to be a way to access customer info. and phone me back with an update..he also said he would post me my complete pension record.
Whether any good will come of this remains to be seen..
It's bad enough not getting the pension increases but then to be taxed as if you were is incompetence on a grand scale.
Rant over any input or insight into what is going on would be much appreciated..
Question. Do you get any other income other than the state pension which takes you over the 12,500 tax free allowance?

Learn the lesson and don't send money to anyone in the future. Doubt Danish police could do anything. As for Thai police, If you aren't in Thailand they won't bother investigating.

example try to find someone for an easy job for a few hours or a day..
So you think it would be easier to find someone to do work for a few hours or a day, in other parts of the world? Get real people want full time employment. But you get the staff you are willing to pay for, offer low wages get useless staff.

Find another lawyer! If your wife is Thai then get her to use the legal system to fight the Landlord and agent.

The problem of costs for companies is a bit fake.. Indeed the costs will go up, but than ( I am sorry to say) a few people must be fired. I walk in many stores and i see a lot of people not working but playing their cellphones.. So they don't have anything to do. The productivity will go up if they know when they play on the phone they will get fired.. On the other hand there is so much work in Thailand that a lot of Burmese/Cambodian/Laos /Malaysian people have to come in to do the jobs.. The ones on their cellphones could take those jobs too.. Everybody happy...
You really don't now what you are talking about! The reason Thai's don't do the jobs that the migrant workers do, is 1, The migrant workers get paid less than Thai's. 2, Thai's won't do the jobs the migrant workers do. As for workers on mobiles in stores, if there are no customers what are the workers supposed to do. Shuffle pieces of paper around to make it look as if they are busy.

Secondly raise the wages or even better change to monthly payments, so that holidays are being paid too... and spend less money on "nothing" such as committees, meetings, and many other things that are of no use but cost a lot of money...
Gay Marriage has nothing to do with the economy. One of the reasons the Philippines is more attractive is low wages. Also most people get paid monthly already.

But no need for a bunch of doctors and/or hospital stays. Just get up and do it again the next day. The only thing missing for me is a small chunk of your billions, then, life would be perfect for me. Get yourself a dog (if you get a pardon).
There's nothing wrong with him. He's looking for sympathy and a pardon. And getting out of jail.

"I've studied more than 5,000 near death experiences".
Who were they?
Were they perfect people, you know, god fearing, self righteous, self-serving, self important church goers?
Or were they murderous dictators, serial killers, child predators, you know, that kind of thing?
5,000 is a lot of pure peoples........
That implies only righteous people will experience life after death. That is a load of rubbish. No such thing as pure people. Who decides who's pure?
Maybe the truth is, we will never know if there is life after death. No one has ever come back and said there is such a thing.

Do animals think the same as us about life after death?
Why not? Aren't we all led to believe that we are equal?
Are we that superior to the other creatures on this planet, you know - all those that were here before us?
We are mammals. Did Neanderthal man think like this?
Can you name one animal other than us that believes it?
If not, why doesn't it include all life on earth.
Why just us, the most vindictive, cruel, murderous, selfish, uncaring, sexual predators that ever inhabited this planet.
So, why are we so blessed?
Utter nonsense!
I think therefore I am! lol.

Near death is not death! We might realise we will die at the point death happens. But once the lights are out. They are out.
Life after death is a made up idea pushed by religions to appease the question of "why are we here" Be a good person and you will surely go to heaven. Be Bad and go to hell. Just a way to control people. Like the ten commandments were the first laws to control societies.

Not my narrative, I quoted what the judge said who is not the only judge to make similar remarks when sentencing rioters from Jan 6th and left out the opinion piece promoted by Trump and his followers which is indeed nonsense.
You must of missed the last couple of sentences?
Chutkan said on Oct. 28, 2022. “It's a blind loyalty to one person who, by the way, remains free to this day." (Emphasis added.)

The added opinion that "Chutkan appeared to lament the fact Trump was not yet in prison" is made up nonsense.
So when it doesn't fit your narrative, It's made up nonsense. I wonder how many posters are interested in a fair Trail. Rather than pre judging a guilty verdict?

It shows she is not fit to judge the case because she is bias. Certainly didn't say anything was inaccurate. Obviously you think Trump should be in Jail. Well that is your opinion, right or wrong!

You should ask the Landlord what he means by refinishing the cabinets. Or if he really intends on doing a proper job.
