More miss information. They have said that any funds remitted to Thailand after the 31/12/2023 or From the 01/01/2024 will be taxed if it is derived as income. In other words they have no intention of applying back taxes on any savings prior to the 1st of January 2024. Indeed I will go so far as to say. Prior to 1/1/2024 If you were taxed in your home country on income received there, you were not required to pay tax in Thailand. Even if it was remitted in the same year.
