Yes, they do require a £25,000 initial account opening deposit, but, you only need to maintain a balance of £10,000 over the long-term. So you could withdraw 15K after a few months if you wanted to. Anyway, 25K is far better than the 100K required by many of the big banks like HSBC, Barclays, Santander, etc. And Skipton generally pays better interest rates too.

Does your wife have stupid friends?

I didn't know that a woman who has a menstrual biomass analysis done could effect the intelligence of her friends. Can you please explain the theory behind that? -
To be honest, I haven't tried making it yet myself, but I do plan to in the near future. I think the most important thing is that the temperature you are using is not too high. If the temperature is too high, you could end up burning the cannabis and destroying the THC content. You can buy a cheap cooking thermometer online to check the temperature first before putting the mason jar into the hot water. 175°F (80°C) seems like the ideal temperature. High heat might also be the cause of your cracked jars. Another thing you can do is place a folded dish towel in the pot (underneath the jar) to prevent the glass jar and the metal pot from coming into direct contact. I think there is good value in trying to be able to get the process right to make it yourself. Then you no longer have to turn to potentially unreliable sources in the future. And you will know what you're really getting in the oil because you made it yourself. 👍🏼

You can make some cannabis infused butter or oil using some of the inexpensive cannabis strains available in Thailand for around 30-40 Baht a gram. Using about 1/2 a cup of MCT oil with 15 grams of cannabis would be the best and then just a couple of drops on your tongue and swallow. Easy. Here is a good summary of how to make it on the link below: https://emilykylenutrition.com/stovetop-cannabutter/

Delivery rider helps himself to water dispenser in Thai restaurant
HugoFastor replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thank goodness the driver got the fluids he needed to replenish his body. There is a reasonable chance he was dehydrated from driving around under the hot sun in a nylon jacket making deliveries. They should be thankful he didn't collapse on the floor from lack of water, thus causing a greater disruption. -

Wouldn't you have a maid for that? And just as long as you don't pull an Arnold Schwarzenegger with the maid, you should be great. -
True, but you could have an address in the USA, Germany or one of the many other countries that Wise are registered to operate in and still receive interest on your £ balance without being invested into a fund as you would need to do with a UK address. Not sure why they don't pay straight interest to people with a UK residence address, but that seems to be the way it is. I should have mentioned this earlier, but Skipton is another good option for people wanting an offshore Sterling account and they are located in Guernsey. They are supposed to be good to deal with as well: https://www.skiptoninternational.com/offshore-savings-accounts I believe Skipton has no minimum balance requirements, but require at least a £10,000 balance to earn interest. In Guernsey, bank deposits are also protected by the Guernsey Banking Deposit Compensation Scheme, which provides compensation to depositors in the event that a licensed bank is unable to meet its obligations.

Valid point, but I was assuming he was clever enough to marry a deaf one with no arms or limbs either. -

Way to go, marry a mute and it makes life much more peaceful. -
Wise does pay monthly interest on USD, GBP, and EUR account balances. As someone already mentioned though, they are not a bank. The biggest issue with that is that there are no government guarantees on deposits with Wise should Wise run into financial problems. If you are banking in the IOM for example then bank deposits are protected up to a certain limit by the Isle of Man Depositors’ Compensation Scheme. This government backed scheme provides compensation to depositors if a licensed bank in IOM is unable to meet its liabilities.

Attaboy, keeping up your house duties. 3x a week whether she/he needs it or not, helps keep poison out of your food. 👍🏼 -
And for those of you who really feel like the AN ranking system has passed you over, fear not, you can always move to China where you will certainly be recognized for "every move you make, every breath you take". https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_Credit_System

I'm just here to get a few sad and confused emojis piled onto my post because I certainly don't want to be left out of this golden opportunity to affect my absolutely meaningless ranking on this site. So please stack them on generously.

Is it safe to use a public WASHLET?
HugoFastor replied to Captain Monday's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
That is a valid point about skin irritation. I've experienced it myself with some of them. There are also ones that contain 99% water and 1% fragrance and none of the harsh chemicals. If one plans to use them regularly I would look for those which shouldn't irritate the skin. The big supermarkets will also have a much bigger selection. -
The main KYC question most commonly asked to someone living in Thailand is: Are you a fugitive who owns a cannabis shop, a gogo bar, or a massage parlor that you invested a lot of money into for the fit and fittings, has very high overheads and running costs, and which consistently loses a large sum of money every month?

Just carry a pack of those 30 Baht baby wet wipes in your bag that they sell in every convenience store in Thailand and use one of those for your clean up. Some have alcohol and antibacterial chemicals in them too if you want that. Also, not a bad idea to use one to wipe the seat off first before you sit down on it. Problem solved. -
15 Baht a gram. Price is right. Looks like low THC bush-weed though with lots of leaves mixed in. Presumably around 10% THC in the buds and nearly zero in the leaves. So average THC could be under 10%. You get what you pay for, but if price is the biggest consideration then there you go. Bingo. Cheap weed!

How do you react to Thais who do not respond to greetings?
HugoFastor replied to zhounan's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Some might have self confidence issues. Some are too embarrassed to interact with foreigners. Some could be afraid of getting into a confrontation. Some may be worried about responding in the wrong way and/or not being good with English and then losing face or disappointing you. So in general it could be unfair to assume they are intentionally being unfriendly if they don't respond to an unexpected hello from a foreigner whom they don't know. They could simply have their own personal issues and it has nothing to do with you directly. Try asking them a simple impersonal question about something like the weather instead of just an open ended greeting. They might be more inclined to respond if they know the answer to the question or how to respond to something you are communicating to them about. -
The amount of THC in cannabis edibles depends on who made the edible. Normally they aim to put about 10MG of THC in each piece of most edible products like gummy bears or chocolate. But quality can vary and some have more or less than 10MG. You need to ask the person you buy it from. There is nothing standard on this. And some places are more expensive than others. So price isn't standard either. Buy some and try it and then you will know.

0.0001% THC or CBD means it has such a small amount of those 2 compounds that you can't even measure it. That is literally 1 / 1000000 of 1%. So let's call it zero as I did already. So they are telling you that there is no THC or CBD in those drinks and that's what is already understood. Those drinks probably have a bit of extract from the hemp plant that has no psychoactive chemicals in it. So they put a cannabis leaf on the bottle because it might have some crushed hemp plant leaves or stems in it, but if you just want to buy a sugary drink from 7-11 then go ahead because this is exactly what that is.

The biggest takeaway I get, when I read these posts about "growing pains", is that I'm so glad I never tried to go down that bumpy road. I just open up my wallet and handover a bit of dosh for my flowers. Painless.

Vasectomy: Recommendations where to go in Rayong area?
HugoFastor replied to Flying Saucage's topic in Health and Medicine
So you want to let some guy, who you've never met before, willingly put a knife to your perfectly functioning bait and tackle, and in some rural part of a developing country? My recommendation is not to do something Darwinian. Well, definitely better you than me and I at least hope he doesn't cut the wrong wire. Do the math. -

The type of sling seen on the arm is typical after a surgery for shoulder rotator cuff repair. A very common golf injury.
