  1. sorry, I don't have time to get a phd in physics. i will refrain from further debate. and i'll give you the benefit of the doubt that your statements are accurate.
  2. this was the quote i said was nonsense: I still insist it's nonsense. debate what? time is simultaneous? all reincarnated selves exist at once? i don't know how to begin to debate something which is so absurd.
  3. am i obligated to read and reply to every post in the thread? sorry, i can't.
  4. the mumbjo jumbo was a direct reference to one particular line from tipaporn's post. i never said everything you guys write is nonsense.
  5. I never claimed god doesn't exist or that I believe God doesn't exist. I never made the sweeping broad generalization that those who do are full of nonsense. I read a short part of one of your rather lengthy posts and thought it was nonsense. And I extrapolated that to assume that a lot of other stuff you're posting is nonsense.
  6. pro max. i love the names they give these over-priced phones. i use a crappy phone. the thieves can have it.
  7. both of you! but you know what? let's wipe the slate clean. ignore that comment. let bygones be bygones. if i read your posts further, i will comment on each individual post as i see fit. there's no need to put labels on people.
  8. supplements can help, but they can only go so far if your diet is <deleted>.
  9. Of course. I've never met a cult leader who likes to be accused of bs before. I'm not saying everything you post is bs. I haven't read most of it, actually. I was just criticizing one particular comment Tipaporn made. And of course you jump in to defend him and bark like a dog in typical cult-leader fashion.
  10. that's a ridiculous accusation. and that further reinforces my original claim that this thread reeks of a cult. the only people that are open to debate are people who haven't invested their entire lives and their entire personas into what they're spewing on here. you know, the guy who pops in with the occasional comment. but a few of you here have clearly invested a lot of your lives into what you believe. and you are beyond debating. woe to anyone who criticizes. i'm outta here. i don't want to deal with that nonsense.
  11. yeah but a bunch of people have made negative comments about Wise. so not sure if i should get this card now. this debit card has lower ATM fees than normal banks.
  12. activated charcoal tablets. they bind to any poisons in the stomach and the poison will be flushed out. if it's some type of food poisoning causing the problem. i don't think the activated charcoal will cause any issues if it's sth else causing your problem. disclaimer: for entertainment purposes only. always seek the advice of a qualified health practitioner
  13. he said he wants to chat about films, books, philosophy. it's not necessary. you just need someone you feel comfortable being around.
  14. I broke up with an asian girl when I was younger for similar reasons. Looking back, there was no need to break up. You can satisfy any intellectual interests on your time by reading, etc ... You can talk to male friends, you can join discussion groups online to discuss your interests. That's not what a relationship partner is necessarily for. In fact, if you talk about too many complex topics, you might end up arguing a lot.
  15. yes, and that's not good for businesses as credit card companies charge business high fees for each use. you may want to be more considerate to small business owners and pay debit or cash for tiny transactions.
  16. when traveling it's better to withdraw money from ATMs and pay cash. so shady vendors don't get hold of your credit card number. WISE was set up for travel and/or digital nomads and freelancers who do online work and get paid in different currencies. WISE debit card doesn't charge exorbitant ATM fees at international ATMs like bank debit cards. also, can load the card with different currencies, so you don't lose on the exchange rates. but if there's higher risk of fraud as some have pointed out, then it's not worth it.
  17. sorry, i need to ask. is this a thread or a cult? you guys found your little corner of the forum to operate your cult? nobody cares what terms you like or don't like.
  18. Forget the comment about 8 year olds. Karma may be complex / nuanced ... and different people may interpret it differently. A few people on here have already offered up some good definitions. Do we need to turn this into a competition of definitions? I just didn't like Tippaporn's comments where he dismissed the concept entirely with what to me appears to be mumbo jumbo. As long as people are discussing it, it's good. Tippaporn completely dismissed it. I think it's better if people discuss it. Sorry, I'm taking a break from this thread. I might check in once a week or so. The comments and discussions here are interesting, but I don't have time to respond.
  19. I don't think I was being rude. I was just offering a suggestion. India, which is not too far from Thailand, has Ayurvedic practitioners. If I was in a similar position to OP, I might take a trip there. Without knowing much about Ayurvedic medicine in India, I wonder how many treatments expats in Thailand could go there for and pay less than private hospital care in Thailand? But I guess I'm ruffling a lot of feathers here. I'm guessing you are personally offended because you have a background in conventional medicine and you don't appreciate it when people suggest that conventional medicine has limitations.
  20. haha. sorry, the comment i made about 8 year olds was hasty. i'm tired and I can't address all these posts right now. to quote terminator, i'll be back.
  21. but it isn't. and they don't. if you remove those nonsensical ideas that some fake guru planted in your head. then we can work from there. you seem to have fallen prey to all sorts of abstract nonsensical spiritual mumbo jumbo that doesn't serve anyone. except possibly your own ego. as people become entangled in ever more complex mumbo jumbo, they pat themselves on the back for figuring out sth too complex for the average mind. but it's just mumbo jumbo. often the simple elegant theories are the right ones. karma is fairly simple. an 8 year old can understand it.
  22. they're based in the US. so i don't think there should be any concern about quality?
  23. I just watched this video .... Do humans have souls? by Physicist Sabine Hossenfelder She concludes by saying "in principle, it should be possible to upload your entire identity to a computer". I don't think scientists have the same notion of "soul" as the other folks who believe in the soul do. And this seems to be where science wants to lead us ... to upload us to computers. Scary stuff? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XovfK-IGbtw
