What is up with tattoos and tourists / expats here?
save the frogs replied to Maxbkkcm's topic in General Topics
Employers didn't tolerate tattoos back in the day. You wouldn't get hired. 2009 is still a fairly long time ago. Not sure exactly when they started becoming in fashion. Now employers tolerate them. So because people are allowed tattoos in the workplace, they have them. My IT guy at the last place I worked had a bunch of tattoos. So your theory is outdated. You people are dinosaurs who have not adapted your beliefs to the changes in society. SOME people with tattoos are low-lifes yet. You need to pick up the vibe from the person, not the tattoos. Please stop judging all people with tattoos. -
It's already getting ugly in China.
save the frogs replied to Cryingdick's topic in Political Soapbox
I got a bunch of feeds of youtube vids where chaos was breaking out in china. i figured it was fake news. the fake news isn't going to go away any time soon. you need to sift through a whole lotta garbage to get to facts these days. -
Why are you still in Thailand, not in Vietnam?
save the frogs replied to JoseThailand's topic in General Topics
constant border runs every 90 days i think. what a silly thread topic. most people get hitched up after being in thailand many years. it's not that easy to just move when you're settled somewhere.- 127 replies

Kamala Harris was not experiencing cognitive decline. Her problem was that she was just born stupid.

Just when you thought Cnn couldn’t go lower…
save the frogs replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
I misunderstood. Will be interesting to see what he does. Previous efforts have failed, but the Mexican govt was corrupted with bribes from the cartels and one group the US military trained actually formed their own cartel. A lot of plot twists. -
Just when you thought Cnn couldn’t go lower…
save the frogs replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
No, he hasn't solved it as far as I know. He may attack them without consent of the Mexican govt, but then people on here will surely scream that he's a dictator. There is no easy solution to the cartel issue, and maybe it will never get resolved. -
Trump - Greatest Troll of All Time
save the frogs replied to save the frogs's topic in Political Soapbox
Not too many responses here. But then the anti-Trump brigade starts a similar thread about Trump trolling and inevitably the nefarious theories come out. He's trolling "to distract us", "to wear us down". I wonder if it's more benign than that and he's just having fun. Who knows. I surrender. -
No, it doesn't.

Alcohol but not a real problem
save the frogs replied to saintdomingo's topic in Health and Medicine
what does the title mean exactly? not a real problem? let's face it. alcohol is an addiction. good luck now managing your addiction with your health issue. sorry, not trying to be an ahole, but we need to be realistic. alcohol is an addiction. same thing for donuts and why someone who gets treatment for diabetes will not necessarily give up their donuts that easily. May The Force be with you. -
Trump might be the greatest internet troll of all time. With his recent "Pope gag" added to the long list of trolling he's been doing for years. So why does he do it? Does it mean he's a crap president? Crazy and deranged? Have you been DUPED by his trolling? Trolling causes emotions to stir up, namely anger. Can you think straight when you're angry? Like when someone on AN pushes your buttons and your face turns purple, has Trump actually been playing you like a marionnette for all these years? Or ... please offer your explanation as to why he would do it. If you take Trump too seriously and everything he does makes your face turn purple, could it be that you lack a sense of humor? Or what's the psychology behind all of this, both from Trump's point of view and from the average person who is witnessing this? Any psychologists specializing in psychology of Trolls on AN? Grant Cardone is a very successful businessman. Rich guy. Here is what he thinks of Trump.

I haven't watched this guy's channel, but I've noticed 2 tricks Youtubers use: Trick #1: Portray a fantastic relationship on social media for the whole world to see and envy. Meanwhile, you have no idea what the relationship is really like behind the scenes. Trick #2: Tug at people's heartstrings by airing your dirty laundry, talking about your breakup on social media for the whole world to see. To gain empathy from your followers and get more subs. Who cares about a Youtuber's relationship life? I don't care. I only care about content that benefits my life. This is like watching a soap opera.
