  1. trump clean shaven president never has a beard this is photoshop !!
  2. women don't care what men look like and/or have dubious taste. only gay men need to be overly concerned with grooming.
  3. To get good jobs, sort of. But after a while, it didn't serve me well when I started changing into different types of work. And for status, which is so important to this poster and which he bases his premise that people with tattoos are of lower status than him. So be it. If that's important to people. To me, it's stupidity.
  4. Yeah but maybe one of the reasons some people get tattoos is to flip the finger to the whole societal norm / status thing, which they think is bs anyway. And I tend to agree with them, even though I don't have tattoos. Maybe you can learn a thing or two from these people, instead of stubbornly being fixated on status. Is the point of "education" to go around saying you're better than everyone else? Is that the point of trying to get into Harvard? Is that really an educated person?
  5. Not sure what the laws are. Maybe they are not allowed to ask. Huberman specifically said he avoids tattoos on his knuckles, neck, face. And he hides them when he lectures. To pretend that there is no discrimination is not a good idea. So if you do have them and want to be a working professional in most parts of the world, it might be best to put them in places that can be hidden. Or find out what the culture is at that company. Maybe most companies are getting more relaxed now. Honestly, although I don't consider myself too judgmental, guys with their entire faces tatted up do make me nervous.
  6. Yes, I just asked AI and it confirms this. So this debate should finally be over now. Because if monks have tattoos, then it's not the overly simplistic nonsense people have been spewing on here. Yes, SOME people with tattoos are low-lifes. And SOME Brits are low-lifes. But not ALL. Or not even MOST. So people do need to stop with their prejudices.
  7. Is there any company in corporate america where bosses don't promote who they like and not promote or fire who they don't like?
  8. I don't whinge. You want input? Like what? My favorite Youtube channels? Ok I'll recommend a few. Soft White Underbelly - He does all sorts of interviews, including with hookers, junkies, criminals Chris Williamson - has some good content The AI Grid - to follow latest news on AI/Robotics SNL - comedy skits, good for some quick laughs See? I ain't whingin' boy.
  9. What did they "drop out" of ?? Unsatisfying jobs, which represent 80% of jobs out there. And one could also say they are adventurous and risk-takers for uprooting and leaving rather than labeling them low class riff raff.
  10. Sounds like Bob complaining about fruit in a tropical country.
  11. you may find it amusing, but if he's an employer and you walk in to an interview with a tattoo, you ain't getting hired. it's a kind of 'racism' that a lot of people have towards people with tattoos.
  12. stabbing a dog for urinating on a car wheel is sick. heavy fine at least.
  13. robot butlers in the home soon? maybe only for middle class / upper middle class? robots taking care of the elderly in the future should be interesting. no more need for nursing homes maybe?
  14. me too. discovered so many artists on youtube that never got air time on the radio. i feel sorry for people who only listen to radio ... they play the same crap over and over and there are so many hidden bands to be discovered.
  15. Yeah, you're Sigmund Freud. You figured out the neurosis behind tattoos. Some folks look bad and even scary with their tattoos. But a lot of people look cool and they're not low-lifes. It doesn't need to be over psycho-analyzed.
  16. Andrew Huberman has tattoos. He works as a researcher in a top university. Although he hides them when he lectures. And he's not a big fan of tattoos on the neck and face. He is in the minority for people with jobs like that, but we probably need to start putting away prejudices about people with tattoos. And the inverse is also true. Just because someone has a squeaky clean look, it doesn't mean they're a decent human being. And also, maybe we need to stop judging people based on their "class in society".
  17. I watched a few of his videos. It was good for a few laughs. It's hard to tell if he's acting and/or so desperate to put out any content to get clicks. He vacillates back and forth between "I love my wife and Thailand" to "I can't take another day here and will move to Spain."
  18. A lot of famous actors and singers have them. Maybe athletes too. And they have undoubtedly influenced a lot of youth to get them. I think your mentality might be stuck in the old days where only Hells Angels would have prominent tattoos. Times have changed. 45 Million Americans have tattoos. This means a lot of them are probably doctors and lawyers, not just low-class workers. I don't have them. I never got into it. I never understood the need for one, but I'm no spring chicken either. The craze started when I got older.
  19. yeah, was also into that channel for a while, but stopped watching. he lives in netherlands and points out how much better it is to live in cities that are not designed around cars, but it's not going to change anywhere else. what's the point unless you move to the netherlands?
  20. exactly. when i was growing up, it was mostly metalheads / criminals / bikers. but nowadays, you're probably considered a geek if you're young and have no tattoos. just read that 45 million americans have at least one tattoo. people are making a big deal about it. the culture around tattoos has changed.
