  1. Doing Roast beef and Yorkshire Puddings with all the trimmings for my Thai family and thought let's have a look at the news on here, thank heavens I'm English. Cool day in Phisanulok it's only 34 degrees, and I'm the only farang in our village.
  2. Pita does come across as a likable politician, with some sensible views to bring Thailand into the 21st century. The only problem he has is, the Junta are never going to allow the changes needed without a fight/skulduggery as shown up to press. It should all be done done through the ballot box not on the streets, but are the majority of Thai's going to back that or do they need another generation to come into the political arena.
  3. The very reason that the Junta will have to be in power this time so they can reinstate the Senators so their hold on politics continues. Surely the coalition of MFP and Co know this.
  4. Sold up and left Blighty last year, the writing was on the wall for me as soon as Brexit kicked in after the Covid, best decision I've ever made.
  5. I find it ok, mind you I only have it in tea and for porridge in the morning.
  6. No milk in 7/11's, Lotus or Tops around Phichit, and Sak Lek, found plenty of UHT milk though.
  7. Tops have Branston pickle usually, I get mine in the Phichit store
  8. Just my opinion, going from some of the news stories on here and from social media. If Senators are looking at bringing defamation action on anonymous posts that they don't like, especially where their family and friends are being targeted. Also some commercial bodies and trade organizations are starting to worry about any trouble which could reduce the economy, both domestic and from tourism.
  9. I'm beginning to wonder if the powers that be I.E. the controllers of the Senate are thinking perhaps the game is up and they might need to concede some authority back to the people elected to the Parliament, or face some not so much violent disorder but public backlash against the Senate members, as seen on social media.
  10. Went there a couple of weeks ago, mainly for cheap fags and booze at the border fence at Rim Moei Market, stopped overnight in a Hop Inn was ok. The road into Mae Sot from Tak was fun in the rain but fine to me, used to driving through the Alps in winter, the town has most of the normal shopping opportunities of most provincial towns, malls, markets etc.
  11. At 13 years old probably only needs a set of brushes and perhaps a bearing.
  12. I can see that coming, but then light the blue touchpaper and stand well back, nothing but trouble ahead imho
  13. Olaf aka Bricktop, the gang were going in as a "Snatch" squad ????
  14. You're always gonna have problems lifting a body in one piece. Apparently the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together, and when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig <deleted>, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".
  15. Well, I'd rather F in hell than W in paradise, which to me is all AI is. Q, will AI be able to make a good wet fish smell, with a hint of crap, you know where your mouth is when your nose is in it. lol
  16. If your using steel pots and pans and you start having problems with food sticking to them while cooking it is easy to get them right again, just put a little oil in the bottom and get it smoking hot, the put some salt in to soak up the oil and give it a good scrub while its hot with some kitchen paper towel, but be careful as it will be red hot, ex chef with asbestos fingers.
  17. Like you stole it, same as most of the local pick-ups lol
  18. 2014 Ford Focus 1.6 Auto petrol, E20 fuel, 7lts per 100 kms = 14.28kms per litre at 40 kms per hour on average, currently paying around 34.00 baht per litre, so 2.38 baht per km on fuel. Local Ford Main dealer maintains car, on average around 6k Baht per service, including parts, oil change every 7000 kms, had 3 services, one was a cambelt and water pump change. total cost for 3 oil changes/services 18k baht for 25k kms, around 1.39 baht per km. 6500 baht for a years insurance, top tier, in UK I would call it "Fully Comprehensive Insurance". 1650 baht for test for year. Servicing, insurance and test = around 850 baht for a weeks motoring. I do about 5k kms a month on average, which is around 12k baht in fuel. To me a total cost of under 4k baht a week is about right, all in, for the convenience alone its worth it, as I'm out in the sticks.
  19. The Nigerians are lovely people, I'm currently helping one of their Princes get his money out of the country.
