  1. President Biden has become increasingly critical of Israel — and some of his campaign's biggest pro-Israel donors are becoming more critical of him. Why it matters: Whether he is aiding or criticizing Israel, every move Biden makes has potential negative political consequences. Driving the news: Democratic megadonor and Israeli American Haim Saban emailed senior White House officials Wednesday asking them to pass along his criticism of Biden's recent move to pause bomb shipments to Israel over a possible ground operation in Rafah. "Bad, Bad, Bad, decision, on all levels, Pls reconsider," he wrote in a message obtained by Axios and other news outlets. He added: "Let's not forget that there are more Jewish voters, who care about Israel, than Muslim voters that care about Hamas." The Biden campaign declined to comment. https://www.axios.com/2024/05/10/israel-gaza-biden-rafah-donors
  2. On 10 June, an appellate court in San Francisco will have the opportunity to demonstrate that indeed no one, including the president of the United States, is above the law. The Center for Constitutional Rights, representing plaintiffs Defense for Children International - Palestine (DCI-P), Al-Haq, Palestinians in Gaza and Palestinian Americans, will ask a panel of judges to reconsider the district court’s decision to dismiss a lawsuit seeking to stop the US government from transferring more weapons to Israel during an ongoing genocide. Follow Middle East Eye's live coverage of the Israel-Palestine war The Center for Constitutional Rights brought the lawsuit against Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin in November, arguing that the Biden administration is complicit in Israel’s genocide of Palestinians by continuing to provide financial and diplomatic support, as well as weapons. In its response to the lawsuit, the Biden administration has maintained that the courts do not have purview over foreign policy, a legal concept known as the political question doctrine. https://www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/gaza-war-us-courts-biden-administration-must-hold-accountable
  3. Maybe it's time for change by both sides of this conflict.
  4. Pressures piling up on Biden from all sides. A group of US officials who publicly resigned over the Biden administration’s Gaza policy are banding together to support ongoing dissent and put pressure on the government to change course. More than half a dozen people from across the US government have left their jobs in public protest, saying they could no longer work for the administration, and even more have quietly departed. Many of the officials who resigned publicly said they would instead seek to have an impact outside the government. President Joe Biden has faced pressure both abroad and at home over his support for Israel eight months into the war in Gaza with Hamas – a conflict that has cost tens of thousands of civilian lives, displaced millions and brought extreme hunger throughout the enclave. Although the rhetoric from the administration has become harsher – with warnings that Israel must do more to protect civilians and allow more aid in – the policies have remained largely unchanged. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/06/08/politics/us-officials-gaza-policy-resignations/index.html?iid=cnn_buildContentRecirc_end_recirc
  5. Well done the rescuers, RIP to Chief-Inspector Arnon Zamora and Palestinians, the Hamas fighters will be burning or with virgins, but always dead.
  6. A CIA assessment circulated among US officials this week concluded that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu likely judges he can get away without defining a post-war plan — even as the Biden administration has launched a full-court press to pressure him to bring an end to the conflict in Gaza. Netanyahu “probably believes he can maintain support from his security chiefs and prevent defections” from the right wing of his coalition by discussing the future of Gaza in “vague terms,” the June 3 report, reviewed by CNN, reads. The assessment — which has not been previously reported — represents one of the most up to date intelligence assessments about Netanyahu’s mindset that has been circulated among senior US officials, according to a source familiar with internal reporting. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/06/07/politics/cia-netanyahu-assessment/index.html
  7. So you're presuming there will be no changes from before 7/10?
  8. Lol, can't even admit you're wrong, as expected. As I said, did you reply to my post to Hanaguma, yes or no?
  9. You're being disingenuous, I replied to Hanaguma and you then replied to me after that, as I said in my previous post to you those are my answers, like it or lump it, and that's your lot.
  10. You make the accusation that I "prefer to believe Hamas" completely false, I do not believe Hamas, the same as I don't believe the IDF without any corroborating evidence, then you ask why. My original questions to you: Is that common knowledge or because the IDF says so? So, hypothetically, Hamas surrenders, hands back all the live or dead hostages and everyone goes back home to wherever they lived prior to 7/10, what happens then, we carry on as before 7/10 with no changes? You also wrote: "It’s bot only IDF who says so by the way." I replied to that with: "Which bot are you on about now?" meaning, I have no idea what you are saying when you wrote "It's bot only IDF who say so by the way"
  11. That's it, good boy, make an accusation and avoid answering the question. Which bot are you on about now?
  12. Israel’s war on Gaza may be “a curtain call” for the post-World War Tw0 international rules-based order, Amnesty International secretary general Agnes Callamard said on Thursday. “The gravity of the violations being committed, the fact that we are witnessing them every day… the flimsy justification by western democracies - all of these warn… of a possible total collapse of the rules-based order,” she said. Speaking at the Balfour Project annual conference in London, Callamard denounced the US and UK’s continued backing of Israel’s offensive in Gaza as “making a mockery” of international law. The conference dealt with the question how “peace with justice” can be achieved in Palestine, but many of the speakers highlighted how the actions of the UK, US and other western governments are at odds with this goal. https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/war-gaza-may-be-curtain-call-international-order-amnesty-chief-warns
  13. Is that common knowledge or because the IDF says so? So, hypothetically, Hamas surrenders, hands back all the live or dead hostages and everyone goes back home to wherever they lived prior to 7/10, what happens then, we carry on as before 7/10 with no changes?
  14. Credit: Daily Telegraph 2024-06-08 Conservative right-wing rag lol, going further right, no surprise if it backs Farage and Reform Party, jumping off a sinking ship. Only trouble is there up to there eyes in debt, £1bn, print media is finished.
  15. Can I be excused from having any part of Bob inside me, not my thing. To me these threads are a daft laugh, nobody is forced to read or post. Wouldn't be surprised if Bob and his Mrs are sat having a right laugh. Life's to short.
  16. Are you being argumentative, or stating a fact, give us a clue?
  17. I think the opposite, Jews I have met throughout my life have all been great people, some are very religious, Orthodox, others had all the patter but didn't as far as I know go in for the whole Synagogue thing, others that squared the circle would back in the old country come round for a bacon sandwich on a weekend. different strokes for different folks. Zionists on the other hand, those who wanted to go to Israel to live could really bring a downer to a great party of mixed people, with there views on people that didn't see the world their way. Just my experience.
  18. To me, you lose all credibility with the comments like "gormless lefties," hatred of Jews. The problem with Israel is Zionism not the Jews, to me 2 completely different entities. Palestine is their Country, like it or not they have not been born in a Western/European environment, their values at ground level are different to ours, to me, we are all about material rubbish and consumerism and the me me me culture. It could also be argued that we in the West/Northern Hemisphere have lost the plot as far as communities are concerned. The World is getting smaller thanks to modern communications, your point about conditions for women and minorities, there way of dealing with LGBGT stuff worked fine for hundreds of years, who are we to say that is wrong just because it's become to me, fashionable in the West, but hey, women are alright but there's nowt like the real thing. All the haters will still hate, but to me give us a bit of slack, we are not all the same.
  19. Are you a member of the IDF? Your lying or WiKi is: Legislative elections were held in the Palestinian territories on 25 January 2006 in order to elect the second Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), the legislature of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA). The result was a victory for Hamas, contesting under the list name of Change and Reform, which received 44.45% of the vote and won 74 of the 132 seats, whilst the ruling Fatah received 41.43% of the vote and won 45 seats.[1] The newly elected PLC met for the first time on 18 February 2006. Incumbent Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei tendered his resignation on 26 January 2006, but remained interim Prime Minister at the request of President Mahmoud Abbas. On 20 February, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was nominated to form a new government. The new government with Haniyeh as Prime Minister was sworn in on 29 March. As of May 2024, no new elections have been held since this one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Palestinian_legislative_election#Opinion_polls
  20. No I doubt it, she died in childbirth, RIP Mum.
  21. Were Hamas elected by the Palestinians in Gaza? Are the Israeli's lawfully running an Apartheid state as an open prison/concentration camp? Does the world of public opinion think that what the Israeli's are doing, have done is OK in the 21st Century? Could anyone believe that the "Most Moral Army, the IDF" are as honest as the day is long?
  22. Infantile comments about me from you are the joy of my life. Let me state clearly, I support the Palestinians Leaders, elected rightly or wrongly, as Winston Churchill said “Democracy is the worst form of Government except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time”.
  23. As you asked the question, despite your silliness I will answer the question. I don't want Israel wiped out in any way shape or form, never have, never will. Israel just need to comply with UN Resolutions, move back behind the Greenline, dismantle all their illegal walls, and point all their weapons inwards, and shut the hell up. Simples.
  24. Really, many leaders of nations have been at war over the years and found out to their costs fighting on 2 fronts is not a good idea.
