  1. Spain was worse than the UK in 2020. In 2022 UK was best in G7 , your link says so.
  2. Yes covid was mishandled. That was 3 years ago. 2022 was a good year.
  3. If your trip is 33 days then the fees are 1900 baht extra versus zero under 45 days. So the visa fees have increased for travellers above 30 days. If visa exemption was 90 days then visa fees disappear.
  4. Just explaining the facts on how visitors think. Most people I know look at costs. If flights are $500 more plus you have to pay 1900 baht plus $12 you might delay your trip. Easy yes but costly all up.
  5. So now you use 3 years instead of 1. Normally people use 1 year for comparisons. Your links says 2022 was good for UK. Just move on. The facts are UK had a shocker in 2020 but 2021 and 2022 were pretty good.
  6. People budget their total costs. If flight prices are high then visa costs hurt them more. Most Thai guests are budget travellers. Higher costs deter people. If flights are cheaper plus visa fees are lower you get more guests.
  7. Your link said the opposite of what you said. UK was no 1 in G7 in 2022. You said they were the worst. Forecasts are just guesses and IMF ones are lower than other forecasts. The facts are the UK did pretty well in 2021 and 2022. So not bad at all.
  8. Plus 100% more for plane ticket plus visa extension. All adds up. Expensive flights plus shorter ve will deter people. People look at total cost.
  9. So the UK was no 1 in the G7 in 2022. Can't get much better than that.
  10. Try reading the link you quoted The UK also recorded the biggest post-Covid bounce, logging the strongest GDP growth in the G7 in 2022. The IMF has historically been one of the most pessimistic forecasters for the UK economy. Even with the recent upgrades, its expectations are still below predictions from the Office for Budget Responsibility and the Organisation for Cooperation and Economic Development, which have both forecast a 0.2pc contraction.
  11. You need proof of onward travel within 30 days. Not always asked though.
  12. Lao and Cambodia voa. Vietnam you have to apply in advance so more hassle. If Malay was buddhist I would just go there, 90 days.
  13. I agree. If flights are double it deters people. A progressive party would make the visa exemption much longer to attract people.
  14. The better half and I have around 11 days to go from A to B. Looking at Lampang then Phitsanulok for stops. Then after not sure if Nakhon Sawan or Lopburi for 2 nights?
  15. Singapore and Malay 90 days but not as exciting. You can fly to Malay and back though.
  16. Or guys who live a budget then work hard for 6 months.
  17. Yes every town is the best yet. This woman in Lampang video said roads chaotic as 2 cars were nearby. I turned it off after that.
  18. https://www.statista.com/statistics/281734/gdp-growth-in-the-united-kingdom-uk/ Not so bad after covid.
  19. Europeans like to stay 2 to 3 months.
  20. And I just proved they work much longer and are cash strapped.
  21. https://realbusiness.co.uk/entrepreneurs-work-63-longer-than-average-workers Many micro business owners are both time and cash-strapped, they need to make the most of every day because the amount of time being squeezed into the working week is enormous.
  22. Your claim that small businesses dont suffer greater in recessions.
  23. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/storyline/wp/2014/11/26/why-did-small-businesses-suffer-so-badly-in-the-great-recession-blame-loans/
  24. Post the links that back up your claims.
  25. Go talk to micro business owners. For some reason you want me to research everything for you. Do it yourself.
