  1. Ok, I just thought if the airline staff don't see either they may just find that odd.
  2. It is most likely for employees of a company where they get paid monthly salary and have a one year contract. If the company agrees to sponsor the employee and says he earns 4000 USD per month, and the contract is for one year, presumably that will be another way to satisfy the "financial evidence" requirement.
  3. I am not talking about a physical ticket but the PDF airlines send you.
  4. Yes, I was thinking maybe I'd just get a cheap Air Asia to KL for 1900 Baht.
  5. Thanks, and this 6 character code, if the agent checks it, the dummy ticket will have a working one?
  6. Dear Lord it is getting more complicated with every post..
  7. Do I HAVE to buy the ticket 2 days before the flight I need it for,or can I buy it 2 weeks befor as well?
  8. Wow...so they do check. Jesus Christus..I better find a very reputable dummy ticket vendor, lol
  9. There are a number of providers who sell dummy tickets online for Visa, proof of return etc
  10. Looking at it strictly from a legal perspective, if you stay over 180 days and you transferred the money to Thailand it would apply. Now of course you can then argue that DTA applies, you'd have to prove it. Lying to them is generally a bad idea, as they have all the systems and manpower to check what you say is true, so unless you can lie and the evidence would support your lie, teling the truth is safer.
  11. No, it does apply, the Thai authorities can audit you and you would have to prove that your income derives from sources covered in the DTA. I would not want to be in that position.
  12. In theory credit card payments can be traced, but I would agree that the likelihood of someone doing that in Thailand is slim to none.
  13. Well, the DTA doesn't really "protect" you, it just means you're taxed in your home country, where tax is most likely considerably higher than in Thailand.
  14. I know, one TF girl stole 35000 Baht in cash from me. Happens here too, but much less I think. In Phil I know of whole families that exist on the girl being a serial dater, that's how they pay their electcity bills and food bills. What about that family that sold their daughters for online sex because they needed the money so badly? I never heard anything like that in Thailand.
  15. Facebook has a lot of groups, the entertainment pages are full of bars for expats that hold PS4 tournaments or dancing events or other stuff. The Digital Nomand groups are also full of people desperate to meet others. Failing that you could have children and arrange playdates with other parents, always a winner.

  17. I did the extension in Chiang Mai and they required the TM30 beforehand. I asked my landlord to do one then and there online. They did, sent it via email and the doc chicks printed it out for me. Best to have it before you go there.
  18. You could, but I really don't want to take a chance. I want to be on that flight to Thailand without issues.
  19. No, I understand that, they just don't look like real tickets, no logos or QR codes. But it should be fine then.
  20. Exactly, so that might be preferable to you editing a PDF since I can not make up a verifiable PNR. The only downside these dummy tickets do not have the logos and QR codes, it screams dummy ticket from miles out
  21. Ah, you were never asked, never mind. I just saw my old Thai Airways ticket has a ticket number and QR code, so if they would check that, which they could easily if they are from Thai Airways, that could lead to issues.
  22. Murphy's law, but it always worked when you amended the PDF?
  23. That would cetainly be an option. The only thing these dummy ticket sites check other flights so the dummy ticket is based on a potential real flight. I could check as well of course, but it is a time investment. But, yes I'm sure that would be a perfectly viable option because the Airline staff is unlikely to check if the fligh actually exists. They just want to see a ticket normally. I have fairly old tickets and if the airlines changed anything in the logo and that airline staff is aware of that it could raise an eyebrow
  24. Chiang Mai has already correctly explained it in the first post, the market anticipated an interest rate cut because inflation was easing. That was the main reason for the dollar falling. If the dollar falls other currencies gain in value normally. Then there were a few other, less important, reasons, the BoJ intervention which strengthened the Yen leading to many long UJ traders unwidin their big positions, and therefore causing the USD to decline further, the crazy Israelis precipitating a regional war in the middle east and slightly unexpected US economic markers. There were a few others no doubt as well. As Lacessit said, currencies fluctuate, all perfectly normal.
