I spent two months in Chengdu a number of years back - was hard to comprehend how clean it was, all the school children picked up trash as they walked home from school and dropping it into street waste baskets, Panda Sanctuary, Gateway to Tibet (But I couldn't get a visa/permit to travel there) you need a sponsor inside Tibet. Great food, largest all-girls University in China, overhead walkways across all the main blvd’ - all you had to do was sit on a parkbench, and people would come up to you and practice their Tinglish. - I had a wonderful time - did I mention “The Food???"

Ouch.............didn't take me more than a couple years, but working with 15 Thai's and only a few of them speaking English threw me into the mix so yo speak. Anyone serious about learning any language needs to get immersed and out of the classroom(unless you want to learn to read/write).........I found I would be a very hungry man if I couldn't speak enough Thai to order what I wanted. You need a Lawyer for these complicated transactions. I am leaving everything in Thailand to my spouse in a neighbor country………we did the will at the Scandanavian Law Office in JomTien……….When I tried to give SCB a copy, they had me make a Beneficiary page, and said the will is not valid for their bank accounts, so we changed my bank account to a joint account, that takes care of that, we both have debit cards.
