Rogue Immigration Officer?
BenStark replied to Marky Mark Mark's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Pot - kettle - black spring to mind -
I kid you not. Some 20 years ago I took a Thai lady to Europe for a holiday. On our return Thai customs stopped us and wanted to check luggage. There were western foods in the suitcase, as well as a 5 liter box wine. The customs officer then put his hand deep in the suitcase as if he was searching for something, and when he pulled out his hand he was holding a chrome vibrator, which he held up like a stick I feared the worst, but I only said massage, and he put it back. We passed customs without any issues

What confuses you about my post @Celsius? It is not the reason for the transfer that determines if it is income or not, regardless of the fact that you don't understand the OP with you childish brain -

Whatever reason you write on the transfer slip will not make a difference for it to be considered income or not -

Not sure something lost in translation here, but suppose I have an income of 200K a year (fictional figure) in my home country. I have 1 million in my bank account in my home country. Obviously, all money in my home country account is taxed before it get deposited, because the employer deducts taxes from your salary. Now I send 200K over. Which year did I earn that? -

This I have never understood how they can prove when you earned the money that you transfer. Although if your foreign pension is deposited straight into your Thai bank account, then it isn't difficult to proof of course. People who have their extension of stay based on the monthly income rule, may want to reconsider how this money arrives in their bank accounts -

So why you don't tell us all then mr super smart? You post pictures of 2 lanes, then claim there is only 1 lane. Only a dimwit would do that

Is that maybe the reason for this thread and your increased posting, because your second username got banned?

Yeah sure, South America is the place to be. I've been in Costa Rica, considered the safes country in S America, and when we arrived at the guest house in San Jose, which we had booked online, it had a heavy steel entrance gate. The reception told us, you take key of the entrance door with you. If you forget the key, after 10pm you can ring the bell as much as you want, but nobody will open. Every second street block there would be a security guard all night with a big long wooden stick. McD had armed guards with bulletproof vest, in the middle of the day. I only can imagine how the rest of S America is

It's not because that is the only thing you can attract, that others are ugly -
Android boxes are not illegal, but you need an import license from NBTC to import one. Cost 10 baht only, but requirements make it almost impossible for an individual to get one. So buy from local seller, and then the import license is his problem. VPN's are not illegal, as long as you don't use them to bypass government blocks, or connect to sources that are illegal. HDprime, as well s any other IPTV service that allow you to watch channel that are not legally available in Thailand, are not legal. It is not possible to stream Sky or BT sports legally in Thailand, since Sky or BT have no broadcasting rights here.

Thai Police Crack Down on Counterfeit Products Worth Over 15 Million Baht
BenStark replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I doubt this was about fake Rolex, but more about the stuff that is sold on Lazada and Shopee, as being brandname stuff. The last 6 months I have more returns than anything else. -
Some people should stay off the road if they don't understand basic traffic rules or sign. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that the arrows indicate the traffic direction in that particular lane, and the stop sign means that you need to stop, and see if traffic is clear, before you enter the road in front.

Thai visa-free scheme boosts Chinese tourism, domestic travel surges
BenStark replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If I recall correctly, there were virtually no Chinese entries the same time last year, since there were no flights and Chinese were not allowed to leave the country, so not difficult to be 20 times higher
