  1. I see what you are saying, but I recall that each of the updates was 2.+ GB, so it must have downloaded the recovery ROM
  2. That's the one. And it says, stable LOL To be clear, I only do OTA update
  3. I update through the official channel. About phone told me that update was available. I was on version 12.x.x, so it updated to 13.x.x, then told me one more update was available
  4. I updated my Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC to 14.0.2 a few weeks ago. When I rebooted phone always got the message find your phone keeps stopping, didn't pay much attention to it. Within a week I had a swollen battery. Didn't think much of it, although phone only 25 months old, so got it replaced at the service centre. Then I started to notice more issues, like third party apps not working properly any more, and then messages camera keeps stopping, NFC activated but didn't read anything. Battery drain started a week after the new battery replacement. So back to the service centre, where I was told that they could fix it by rolling back the firmware, but that would involve PCB replacement at my cost because phone out of warranty Yeah right, you send me an update that breaks my phone, and you expect me to pay for the fix? When I now Google for it, it gives me lots of results with similar issues. What are your thoughts, other than suggesting buying an iPhone? OCPB? Edit: by the way, the service centre has made an official document, at my request, that has all the details of my phone, and mentions that the issues started after I updated to the latest firmware
  5. Look at Agoda or any other booking site for hotel prices and accommodation, then just decide which one you fancy, and on arrival day you just go there. Every hotel in Thailand has a walk-in option, and unless you arrive in high season, they will have rooms available

    OCPB Pattaya

Anyone has some recent experience with OCPB Pattaya, and can give some feedback. I used them for a few cases 14 years ago, when I was building my house, and had very good results with the officer in charge. Then they promoted him, and when I had another case about 6 years ago, the new staff was worse than useless, so I had to file in Chonburi to get things sorted, Now I have another case against the Thai branch of a Chinese multinational, so I don't want to waste time. Is the current staff at OCPB Pattaya city hall effective, or should I go to Chonburi right away?
  7. Thanks, I figured that out now, and at least you comprehend what is written in the OP. It amazes me how many people with issues are active on this forum, and in this thread, who resort to insults like use a walking frame, or do a health check up, while the only thing I ever mentioned is that floors at shops are slippery for me. Anyone with a working brain should be able to comprehend that slippery floors, and stability issues which I never mentioned , are a completely different thing.
  8. It is worrying that some people on this forum always pretend to know everything about every everything in Thai government, and that others take their "wisdom" for granted. Bit like the ex SAS or MI6 guys you meet in any popular bar in Pattaya
  9. I think you should have a mental health check up as you obviously can't read, because I never mentioned that I have issues with stability, but that my footwear slides. I can actually enter the store running, then slide to the first counter.
  10. You could have read the follow up in this thread, instead of spouting some drivel, in your eagerness to increase your post count
  11. What a ridiculous comment. Even someone with a pea brain would have understood the post you were replying to, so that obviously doesn't include you.
  12. My previous month bill was 4035 baht, and for the last 6 months it has been high up in the 3K range. This month was 3324 baht ????
  13. Going by the replies, it seems that I'm the only one having the issue, so maybe I should be more selective in my footwear. Though it is strange that I don't have the same issue, wearing the same shoes, in my own house, or when I was for 2 weeks in Europe
  14. Yes the shopping centers seem to be better at that, especially in the common areas, but supermarkets or large hardware stores are a big problem for me. The only footwear that works for me is if I wear gyms, which have very soft rubber soles, but everything else is a disaster.
  15. I don't know if it is just me, and I also doubt it is, but when I enter a shop here it is as if I'm walking on ice. Regardless of which footwear, slippers or shoes, I have to tread very carefully, or my legs go from under me, and I slam on the floor. This is not just with one particular shop or mall, but actually 99% of them. I know even a hardware store in Sriracha where they built the entrance to the shop on a slope, and that was not accessible when it rained. They since have put anti-slip tape all over that sloping entrance. Also, I was last month in Europe, and took the same shoes with me, but didn't have any issues there. Are they really not smarter, or is it that they have no responsibility anyway if a customer breaks a leg? I know if that happens in the Western world, the shop will be in it for some big money
  16. Yes it is illegal https://sprintlaw.co.uk/articles/what-is-predatory-pricing/ Under the EU Competition Law, predatory pricing is illegal, so as a business, you want to make sure you stay out of this area of misusing market power. So can prices be too low? In short, the answer is yes, and it could be against the law in some circumstances.
  17. That's the nature of competition. Nothing to do with competition. It is a false narrative, used by the extreme left, to claim that the green industry will create new jobs, well knowing that those jobs will be lost in other industries
  18. Jobs that will be lost elsewhere
  19. There is subsidizing, and then there is unfair competition with the intention to get competitors out of business, you should read up on that. You could start with the building industry in China. You think they got so big, and now are on the verge of bankruptcy, because they got a bit of a discount from the CCP? No, what the government was doing was unsustainable in the long term, and that is showing now. What you think will happen once China controls the EV market because lack of other manufacturers still in business? You think it will still be cheap?
  20. A that so much loved word by the extreme wokes. Nothing, you have nothing. You accused me of sitting there imagining a lot of things. Well, to say the least, I don't imagine that I need a 6th booster, because otherwise I may die from the next covid variant
  21. And don't forget to get some new stock of the 7-layer masks, and wearing them when you are alone in the room, or are you more advanced yet? https://www.fgear.in/products/copy-of-f-gear-pearl-f95-mask-grey-pack-of-1-safeguard-7-layer-iso-ce-sitra-lab-certified-95-bacteria-filtration-1
  22. Just get out of your cave and start reading the news. If you don't know yet that everything from the solar and EV industries, together with any other industries, are heavily subsidized or simply owned by the CCP, then you are ignorant on purpose. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/09/13/cars/europe-china-electric-car-subsidies/index.html Speaking to the European Parliament Wednesday, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Europe was open to competition but “not for a race to the bottom.” “Global markets are now flooded with cheaper electric cars and their prices [are] kept artificially low by huge state subsidies,” von der Leyen said. “So I can announce today that the commission is launching an anti-subsidy investigation into electric vehicles coming from China.” https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/china-warns-europe-its-probe-chinese-evs-will-hurt-ties-2023-09-14/ BEIJING, Sept 14 (Reuters) - A European Commission investigation into Chinese electric vehicles believed to have benefited from state subsidies will have a "negative" impact on economic and trade ties, China's commerce ministry warned on Thursday.
  23. Because they couldn't build it at an affordable price, without the massive subsidizing the Chinese government throws at their EV manufacturers?
  24. The original article of the arrest warrant stated that the statute of limitation on the charges were reached about 3 days after the arrest warrant was issued. So what they gonna charge him with?
