There is no 1 year Non Immigrant O-VISA. He probably has an extension of stay. -

You will need the 800,000 Baht in your bank 2 months before applying for the 12 month extension. -

2.20 In the case of being a family member of an alien permitted a temporary stay in the Kingdom under Criteria 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.10, 2.12, 2.13, 2.14, 2.15, 2.16, 2.17, 2.21, 2.22, 2.26, or 2.29 hereof or Section 34(1) (2) and (7) including family of alien granted nonimmigration visa which contains “A” letter at the end of visa code, (applicable only to parents, spouse, children, adopted children, or spouse’s children) except for NonImmigrant code L-A: (4) In the case of children, adopted children, or spouse’s children, said children, adopted children, or spouse’s children must not be married, must live with the alien as part of the family, and must not be over 20 years of age except in case of the person hereof is of illness or disability and cannot live without support of father or mother -

The rules state. "3 months after being granted permission" which is probably the same as Joe said. -
Turn up with your passport. Plus a filled in TM47 form which you can download or get at the Immigration Office. Disregard all the confusing tosh above.

You get it from a Thai Embassy/Consulate in another country. Exit and enter just before it expires to get another 90 days. As you have a Non Imm O Visa now it might be easier to get a 12 month extension from Immigration. -

Retirement Extension means 800,000 in the bank. Marriage Extension means 400,000 in the bank. This is the main difference. -

In person or mail is the same thing. They get an actual paper copy of TM47 and passport. -
How do you know it is better without trying Pulse? Only going to cost you 1,000 to find out. Very easy to find cheaper options but at what quality. Pulse has been going for years so is hardly likely to be going anywhere soon. I was the same as you. Trying every cheap option out there and they all disappointed. Does your option have catchup?
