  1. Thais don't care about laws, rules, or regulations. So I guess, in this case, what's good for the gander is good for the goose.
  2. The last thing I want to be doing in Thailand is riding a bicycle in traffic, I barely feel safe in my car.
  3. Well if you ever get your hands on it, post up a few pictures of the front cover, back cover, and copyright/publisher pages.
  4. Where did he get it? I've never seen one, but I do have a copy of the Traffic Act, and the new changes (amendments).
  5. Come to my neck of the city, where these same people are driving against traffic on the busiest and most dangerous roads to do so on. I assume they are trying to commit suicide. I mean how safe do these people think it is to, have no lights, no helmet, sometimes driving at night against traffic with no visible shoulder? I couldn't even dream up a more dangerous scenario, but there are multiple motorcycles doing it every few minutes. For the naysayers, just travel down Tiwanon Road (route 306) between Pak Kret center to the Pathum Thani border in both directions, its a daily occurrence here.
  6. I would guess that less than 1% of Thais have any idea what the traffic laws and rules are on Thai roads, and even when they do know, they couldn't care less.
  7. Thaksin should probably start thinking about going back into self-exile again in a non-extradition country, and quickly!
  8. I'm not so sure about that, based on how dangerously they drive, and their lack of self preservation. Unless they're completely oblivious to their own recklessness.
  9. I'd bet it stimulated alcohol, gambling, cigarettes, and the CP groups bottom line, as to the economy as a whole? It will go down in history as nothing more than another Thaksin vote buying scam, a net loss to the economy.
  10. They could step out on the street in front of their AC offices and start handing out tickets, better than beating off to anime on their smartphones all day.
  11. Things are worse now than they have ever been, who'd have thought there was someone worse than Prayut and Prawit, but then sideshow Bob (Thaksin) showed up, now this trainwreck is headed off a cliff.
  12. How much money did Bangkok Post make off of the Thaksin clan for publishing this nonsense piece?
  13. Recommencing the vote buying?
  14. What construction standards? TIT
  15. I refuse to invest anything in Thailand, my Thai wife invests her own money here. Since 2023 I have decided that very little of my money will be sent here in the future, only what is needed for basic survival or to secure my stay, otherwise everything stays overseas.
  16. I just don't lend money to anyone, and I would never even consider lending money to a Thai, not worth the headache.
  17. Did you read the whole article, or are you being deliberately obtuse?
  18. Again, they didn't catch them based on biometrics, they only figured out who they were after physically finding their REAL passports. Without the REAL passports they wouldn't know who they were, or when when and where they entered, because biometrics failed to identify them. The system is useless.
  19. An international banker as PM, what could go wrong. I mean they've been controlling the world for over a 1000 years, why not give them full control. Nice!
  20. Yes, but what we are saying is that if they scan the faces or fingerprints they should come up under the stored biometrics database, thus giving them when and where they entered and under what passport. Otherwise, what real use is the system? It appears they had to find their real passports first, then put 2+2 together, a completely bonkers way of using the system.
  21. Duh! Biometrics were (we hope) saved when they scaned them in against the Moroccan passports, and then should be found when they were arrested. Duh!
  22. I wonder if they will conclude that the Government and the RTP are responsible, based on their lack of enforcement of traffic laws. Who am I kidding....TIT
  23. More than likely absolutely nothing, just like the millions of pieces of paper we fill out every 90 days, and every year for extension.
  24. Of course he defends it, otherwise he would lose face, I am surprised he isn't suing for defamation.
