  1. They do it because nobody stops them from doing it, there is no police force in Thailand that enforces traffic laws. The only police force found in Thailand is the RTP, which operates like a Mafia, they only enforce laws that enrich themselves or protect/serve the Elite, or in reaction to scrutiny from the public after being exposed for doing nothing about public safety.
  2. Time to revoke licenses, and fine the drivers heavily, also name and shame them on the National News.
  3. Knowing Thailand, I think they all are "up-to".
  4. I believe the fine is 4000 baht for a vehicle going through a Zebra crossing with pedestrians in it, and 40,000 baht if someone is injured.
  5. You obviously don't know me very well.....LOL
  6. Well, they couldn't get the F35, the Thai's are way too friendly with the Chinese. Also, they really don't need the heavy bomb loads of the newer Block F16's, the Gripen is a better fit for air to air combat they "might" see.
  7. They tried to buy F-35 stealth fighter(s), but failed miserably.
  8. Google and Cambodia are working on what French colonist dictated were lands/borders of Cambodia, problem is they didn't take into consideration what the neighbors thought of that plan. Thailand told the French to go "F" themselves, thus we are where we are now.
  9. I hope both bus drivers are fired, fined heavily, and hopefully lose their licenses. They by no means should be allowed to drive a bus or any other large vehicle ever again.
  10. UPDATE: Went through a few weeks with major sciatica nerve pain, I was completely down and out, and then 3 more weeks of COVID and long COVID. Just got back to exercising after about 1.5 months of Hell, so basically had to start all over again, but the impingement seems to be almost gone now, I am up to 65lb dumbbells for 15 reps on chest, and 35lb dumbbells for 15 reps on shoulder. So slowly getting back up there, though my dumbbell set maxes out at 70lbs, I'll need to purchase the add-ons to get them to 90lbs. But I am getting older, so not sure I should push things too much.
  11. Bangkok is doomed, like Jakarta, it's time to start thinking about relocating the capital city.
  12. If anyone is wondering, and wants to find the location on Google maps.....this is right outside the "Masterpiece Hospital".
  13. Yup, I now watch and wait for posts where a Thai driver kills himself, then I cheer! It's therapeutic 😉
  14. Oh good, the little China doll can get back to more important things, like shopping.
  15. It's family friendly, bring your own kayak for some whitewater adventures! 🚣‍♂️
  16. Finally! It can now be parked next to the useless aircraft carrier, and should put the fear of God/Buddha into their enemies.....LOL Any bets on how long it will take before they accidentally sink it?
  17. Thai safety and regulations on full display, be scared, very scared!!
  18. Darwinism will sort this out, though any civilized country this father would be in jail, and CPS would be taking his kid away.
  19. I say they are welcome to try, I hope they succeed. For now I hope the motorcyclist got a lesson in what not to do next time, or maybe if we are all lucky, he'll keep doing it and slam into a heavy piece of equipment and die.
  20. Maybe the answer is to sue the Thai government, as there is a demonstrated lack of enforcement, and well established death/injury/maiming numbers to prove it.
  21. Brake failure? .....or better yet, Brain failure?
  22. If it was my daughter, I would have dragged the bus driver out of the bus and beat him to death. I stopped parking in the designated school parking area, where we need to walk across 3 separate Zebra crossings to get to school, mainly because of how many close calls we've had with motorist trying to hit us inside the crossings. I have had to kick so many car doors, smack several car mirrors with a book bag, and push motorcyclist to a stop too many times (including on the sidewalks) getting to school. I now drive her right to the front door of the school, not taking any more chances. My hatred for Thai drivers and the culture of me-first A-holes in this country who do nothing about it, is well known, and well deserved! The only thing worse is some of the Farang apologists on here who defend Thai bad/dangerous behavior, like it should be tolerated, I hate these idiots more than anyone 🤬
  23. Probably driving through a coned-off area to bypass other traffic, see it here near my area in coned-off work areas too, I would have been clapping and cheering on "Pat".
  24. You mean like motorcycles with removed fender attachments where the plate is tucked up under the wheel well and unreadable? Or the many cars with their plates that have the black letters sanded off or painted white? I see them daily, and as usual, no enforcement from the RTP.
