  1. The Thai rates are significantly higher than all their neighbors. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/hiv-rates-by-country
  2. With the Debt-to-GDP ratio more than double the recommended healthy level of 60%? Yes, we should be worried and pissed! 😡 The budget should be cut every year until the Debt-to-GDP ratio is back under 60%, and no new spending should be allowed until it falls back below that 60% level.
  3. Well, he won't be doing that again, probably did it a thousand times before, just fate I guess, nothing to do with unsafe driving behavior. I bet he wasn't wearing his lucky amulet this time.
  4. The issue isn't global warming related, the area is prone to flash-flooding. Reading comprehension is seriously lacking nowadays.
  5. "one of the most flash-flood-prone areas of the U.S. "
  6. We'll see how well that excuse works when the inevitable lawsuits and criminal charges arrive.
  7. Why on Earth would you run a children's camp in "one of the most flash-flood-prone areas of the U.S."?! Why would you allow any housing structures or any building permits in such an area?! It also appears there were several warnings sent out to officials days ahead of time, and especially hours ahead of impending doom, all of which went ignored?! WTH is wrong with people?!
  8. Well, if he wasn't up on an elevated road (where he shouldn't be), this may have been avoided. Though if he just opened his eyes, he may have seen the truck parked directly in front of him, that's if he wasn't on his smartphone.
  9. I bet you nether one of them slowed down, and they both flashed their headlights at each other.
  10. The amount of Thai's I see pissing on the side of the road here in Bangkok, especially Taxi drivers, I thought it was normal business here.
  11. Maybe they'll finally have a use for a submarine after all.
  12. Might of just "kicked" the motorcycle over and out of me way.
  13. Tow everything, then impound repeat offenders, say 30 days at a time. Also, make sure they are registered, taxed paid up-to-date, vehicle and driver pass safety checks, and they are properly licensed before they get the vehicle back.
  14. Though there is evidence out there suggesting otherwise. "Thailand is placed 64th globally with an average IQ of 88.87." "80-89: Slightly below average intelligence" https://www.nationthailand.com/world/40035684
  15. So, a coup is imminent?
  16. I don't see foreigners doing it here in Bangkok, but the locals do it consistently, that and motorcycles using Zebra crossings as U-Turns, pedestrians or no pedestrians in the crossing.
  17. Actually, a "sociopath" is someone who intentionally drives against the flow traffic (the wrong way), while putting themselves and others at risk for injury or death, and could care less.
  18. They driver 29x less safe, thus higher numbers of dead.
  19. It's possible some of the members are on Thai Time, so just wait a few hours, they'll waddle in at some point.
  20. So the motorcycle was parked in the walkway? Color me surprised.
  21. Well, they won't do that again. Congratulations on your Darwin Award 🏆
  22. They do it because nobody stops them from doing it, there is no police force in Thailand that enforces traffic laws. The only police force found in Thailand is the RTP, which operates like a Mafia, they only enforce laws that enrich themselves or protect/serve the Elite, or in reaction to scrutiny from the public after being exposed for doing nothing about public safety.
  23. Time to revoke licenses, and fine the drivers heavily, also name and shame them on the National News.
  24. Knowing Thailand, I think they all are "up-to".
  25. I believe the fine is 4000 baht for a vehicle going through a Zebra crossing with pedestrians in it, and 40,000 baht if someone is injured.
