If they made it safer here to walk, cross the street, and drive....I would agree with you. But yes, as far as crime, much safer. -
Politics Prawit Slams Coup Rumors, Urges PM to Resign
lordgrinz replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What they should do is arrest Prayut and Prawit for treason, then try and hang them on the National TV. Thus sending a message to the military, "you're not allowed to think for yourself". -

I am hoping they both out each other, with any luck, they both end up at the ICC and one day executed. -

Thai PM Calls Meeting to Discuss Police Pay Hike
lordgrinz replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Driving the wrong way should lead to an immediate impounding of vehicle, a 10,000 baht fine and license revocation. After retesting/relicensing, as well as paying the fine, only then should they receive their vehicle back, that's if the vehicle is properly registered and insured. -

Can we start a GoFundMe? -
I've said this in another post on this website, but the problem is cognitive skills, the average Thai is lacking in that department. With an average IQ in Thailand of 88, it's no wonder where the problem lies. Drivers are focused on wants not safety, like I want to go there....so I go there. When it comes to focusing on speed limits, lane discipline, blinkers, road safety, laws, rules, regulations, etc they end up overwhelmed, so they go into a form of brain fog. What we have is a bundle of zombies driving around, and they don't care about their own safety, let alone the safety of others. At least on motorcycles they mainly self-terminate, which according to Darwin's Theory of Evolution, should work out in the end.

Married here too, with a daughter, I have never and will never "accept the driving style in this country". All I hope for is that my situation changes and I can get my family out this nightmare of a country. Nothing will change here, and the longer we stay here the more of a chance that one of these idiot Thai drivers kills one of us, our all of us.

I've kicked a few doors of idiots trying to hit me in a Zebra crossing, and smacked a few mirrors with a school bag, still no takers getting out of the car to confront me, the most I ever got was a curse comment out the window. I'm waiting though, I want to make the news for ripping a Thai persons head off their body with my bare hands in the middle of a Zebra crossing. Please God, make my wish come true! 🙏

I think it has to do with a lack of cognitive skills, thus the lower average IQ (88) found in Thailand. They can focus on where they want to go, but things like road rules, laws, signs, safe driving, etc are just noise their brains can't handle at the same time. In fact, they don't seem to be able to handle anything more than a few feet in front their faces/noses, evidenced by the many who seem to run into stationary objects (Large Trucks parked, Vehicles stopped at Red Lights, etc.), and the lack of mirrors on many motorcycles. Like they say, you can't fix stupid.

Transport Pink Line Sees 68% Drop in Ridership on First Day of Paid Service
lordgrinz replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
They would have done better to make an elevated tram around the Impact center area, thus encouraging local usage, those two stops aren't all that convenient. They basically prioritize the IMPACT arena, not the locals. The IMPACT Arena owners seem to care very little about locals in general, they seem to do nothing but create more traffic, in what supposed to be a housing estate (Muang Thong Thani). I live here, and I find myself increasingly at odds with whoever the morons are who are running this area, or should I say those who are collecting their brown envelopes while screwing the locals. -
Accident Graft Blamed for Deadly Police Aircraft Crashes
lordgrinz replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Not sure what the big deal is, It's only Graft, everyone is doing it. Those who aren't are just jealous they didn't get their share, corruption is embraced in Thailand, it's not like it's a secret. All the way from the top position of government, all the way to poorest person in the village, corruption is a highly sought after profession.
