  1. I consider any investment in Thailand to be like playing Russian roulette, not worth the risk.
  2. The one picture shows the front wheel embedded in the passenger side, which if he turned diagonally across the road making a right turn would leave part of the left side of the bike exposed to what you point out. I think a hit from the side would be more of a bump and the bike would be set off course, not so much damage to the car. You've been here long enough to know Thai's don't turn right like we do back in the West, they turn right diagonally heading into oncoming traffic, not by pulling up to the road then turning into it.I see the damage as lining up with my scenario, but that's just my opinion. Either case, the bike pulled in front of an oncoming car, I can't see any scenario where the car driver is at fault, though I don't know her speed, or if speed is even considered.
  3. She wouldn't have the foggiest idea what to say or do without Daddy dictating her direction and speeches.
  4. I'm thinking his parents must be real winners, where did he learn this behavior?
  5. Willing to bet it was a discarded cigarette.
  6. I know how they can fix the issue, just allow expats in Thailand to have the same rights as expats in foreign countries that the UK government doesn't currently discriminate against. Why have different laws based on where someone decides to live? They earned it, stop trying to steal it back!
  7. Exactly! The bikes frontend is embedded in the front of the car, and the car is on the proper side of the road. I still stick with my original assessment, the motorbike drove head-on into the car trying to make a right turn in front of it, or crossed the road without stopping to make sure it was clear to do so. I lean more towards the head-on collision, based on the indent in the hood and what appears to be a head/helmet impact on the passengers side of the windshield.
  8. ANY, and I mean ANY bicycle lanes that incorporate streets occupied by any cars/motorcycles whatsoever, will only increase the death toll on the roads. I don't even feel safe in a car in BKK, I wouldn't even entertain riding a bicycle here, you'd have to be NUTS!
  9. This seriously increases the odds of Thailand experiencing a Nuclear Disaster in the near future. I mean, if we take into consideration how they have run everything else, this should be easy money for bettors.
  10. That's normal driving here, not a single thing in this article surprises me.
  11. Just rent it to a nice drunken British bloke 😉
  12. Well, the trains run 50 feet off the ground, so they should be still running after the city sinks 🤪
  13. I know the pain, been dealing with the Pink Line, and now the Pink Line extension for what feels like forever.
  14. That describes almost 90% of the work pickup trucks in Thailand, not to mention stacking products too high in the beds. My heart races when I see them on highways travelling at Mach1 with the load swaying back and forth.
  15. I absolutely love to drive, living in Thailand, I hate it. Lets not even get into walking in BKK, which is not even remotely safe, God forbid you are disabled (wheelchair/blind). When it comes to airports, I just want a quick in and out, and as uncomplicated as possible. I also want quick access to good food and quiet sitting areas and clean/abundant bathrooms when waiting for my flight(s).
  16. Maybe the UK government should stop treating it citizens like criminals, or second-class citizens, and start paying them their pensions unmolested.
  17. They could start by not providing beer in bottles, at least not the cheap swill they sell to the local hooligans 🤪
  18. Well that would definitely be a job for a Thai......LOL
  19. One of my biggest complaints while going through there, its a sauna!
  20. I've been to Logan airport many times, though I hate driving there, the airport wasn't all that bad. As far as NYC, I've tried to avoid that cesspool as much as humanly possible, curious enough.... Bangkok reminds me of NYC.
  21. Not sure about beautiful, but it's definitely one of the worst to go to, I hate dealing with that airport. Most uncomfortable, chaotic and disorganized messes I have ever seen.
  22. She better be careful how close she integrates with China now that the Republicans are in full-control of the Presidency, the Senate, and the House. Circumventing any tariffs on China could be a huge no-no going forward.
  23. Well someone is going to be jailed, deported, and blacklisted.
