Even the kids refuse to stay in the 200 baht a night places now.Backpackers have been replaced by flashpackers.I went 15 years travelling like that until covid came and i found i could get a 1500 baht room for 500.That spoilt me forever.Shame really.

Looks good on paper but try telling that to the thousands of old farts that live here.I just re-newd my visa and the stipulation was that you had to have Bkk bank online banking.It was a fiasco as loads of old boys didn't even have a smartphone.

I recently completed staying in all 77 of Thailands provinces.Saved Yala,Pattani and Narathiwat until last because of what our British Government recommend.I enjoyed it down there and like the rest of Thailand,the people were fantastic.
