Two RECENT sources now (Pattaya 103 FM and Pattaya Mail) so the Banglamung vaccine programs (which have been at the sports stadium, the hospital, and presumably the Monk's College) are for THAIS ONLY. Royal Garden Plaza definitely is doing Pfizer boosts. The problem with the OP almost definitely was that he wasn't ELIGIBLE yet with his two previous Pfizer jabs.

Another source saying that the Banglamung hospital program is for THAIS ONLY. https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/pattayas-royal-garden-is-crowded-by-booster-seekers-386080

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2022)
Jingthing replied to CharlieH's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Tv movie by Ron Howard. Pretty trashy, pretty funny. Including four links. The first is the entire movie though very bad quality but you have to watch the beginning part because a lot of that is not on the part 1 link. Then parts 1,2, and 3 are better quality. Watch this until 12:50 https://youtu.be/cToHoWnZPdQ Then these three https://youtu.be/NeGg_IOfObA https://youtu.be/RpKPg6sb79s https://youtu.be/tt5cTeYShAA -
I think the trashing of International Living is overblown. Yeah they are a profit seeking business. But at this point I think their biggest flaw is a tendency to overemphasize the positives of places and glossing over the negatives. But they still provide a lot of good information especially about lesser known choices and you're not meant to take their word as gospel. If you're interested in a place its your responsibility to go deeper than puff pieces from any source.

Pig DNA found in beef meatballs after Muslim council complaints
Jingthing replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Everyone should have the right to be informed of what's in the food they eat, and what is not, and to not be deceived. This is a much bigger issue than specifically Islamic dogma. For example, the other day I ordered an expensive duck dish from a Chinese restaurant. It was duck alright. Duck Beaks! The menu did not say it was a dish with only Duck Beaks! What council should I complain to? -

Oh no! I've moved countries again - now in Mauritius :)
Jingthing replied to simon43's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Hi there, Simon. What an exciting and somewhat unusual new "home" that you have. Coincidentally, I quite recently looked into Mauritius as an option but I'm confused about the income rules. I have read that you need to import the 1500 per month but from another source I read that you need to PROVE at least that amount as income (such as pension). So, which is it? If it's more flexible then someone with pension of 1300 but having assets could still easily qualify but if the rule is based on proven income, it would be a no go. Another question, do the transfers need to be each and every month, or could you in theory just import the full 18,000 one time? -
Recommendation sought for pulse oximeter from Lazada
Jingthing replied to Jingthing's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Wow, and low cost too. -
At this point I think its logical to assume that almost all of us are going tomeet Mr. Omicron. If isolating at home which is very common now its a good idea to check that the case isn't becoming serious by checking oxygen levels. So looking for suggestions for a specific pulse oximeter from Lazada to buy. Or warnings about which not to buy.

I want to note that Pattaya 103 Fabulous FM radio has been consistently broadcasting that all of the vaccine boost programs from Banglamung Hospital are for THAIS ONLY. They also announced today the program has moved from the indoor sports stadium to the hospital failing to mention the Monks college. I am not suggesting their announcement is correct. Just reporting what they have been saying.

What's the difference between the BPH and Jomtien Hospital paid for Moderna program? Delivery in March and even then no guarantees is probably TOO LATE to be of use to boost against Omicron.
-
So predictable. Backing away from your ridiculous clearly worthless anti expat histrionics, the question I have myself and would ask others including Thais: Is it REALLY worth the risk now to voluntarily expose ourselves to conditions where infection risk is very high in order to get boosted? Its fair to assume that Omicron will continue to spread very rapidly here locally, then peak, then decline, perhaps by March. So why take such a high risk now? Yes good chance many or most of us will be infected with this anyway sooner or later, but why basically almost ask for it right now? I don't have a definitive answer. Its something we'll have to grapple with ourselves. There isn't a right or wrong answer. So far personally i have not gone in. Yes I want a boost. No I don't want to expose myself to a very high risk of infection in the process. I suppose most everyone knows by now how incredibly infectious Omicron is. It's second only to measles.

You're missing the point entirely. Queuing for water brings relief when you get the water. Queueing for anti Omicron boosters in cramped poorly ventilated environments has a high chance of infecting you with that disease. I think its an outrage.

Advertorial Things to consider before deciding to retire in Thailand
Jingthing replied to ASEAN NOW Sales's topic in Bangkok
If you're looking for guarantees you're barking up the wrong tree. -
Temporary retirement visitors? OK, everyone is temporary but that should be another realness alert to retirees that view themselves as having higher more permanent status than that. Thailand doesn't offer that to retirees.
