  1. Agreed but the trend has been in Biden's direction so that might be more meaningful.
  2. Yes a lot. But based on what I have gleaned most who have fled are either apolitical or even admirers of Putin. They understandably just want to save their own sweet Russkie butts. Most want the war over sure but would be happier to see Russia win it. When meeting random Russians don't assume that you know their politics.
  3. That's because the series is currently being released by episode on a weekly basis. Episode 4 out April 19 US time. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt18351584/episodes?year=2024&ref_=tt_eps_yr_2024
  4. Not exactly. Most of the fleeing Russians would be OK with Putin meeting his goals. They just don't want to be in the meat grinder.
  5. Yeah me. I sung that song once in an audition for a Charlie Brown musical. I played Charlie Brown. Too bad Russians feel too afraid to take to the streets like us old hippies did to protest their government's genocidal war of choice on Ukraine.
  6. If nothing else, this topic is an example of why Trump cult members are such insufferable BORES.
  7. I find the choices incredibly dumb so no vote. Israel would only use in a mad situation from Iran.
  8. About high school graduations. My info says he didn't attend any of his other children's graduations. He also didn't attend his own. So don't believe that he really cares. He's trying to milk the narrative that he's being persecuted like Nelson Mandela.
  9. Yeah that's great. The first link doesn't do that. I'm sure expensive but cheaper than flying back to Thailand.
  10. The trouble with that service posted is that many countries will require such documents to be apostilled and as Thailand is not in that treaty, then often officially translated and officialized at the embassy of the country you need it for. So to do that you would need to do in Thailand and there is usually (typically six month) a timeline where such documents retain validity.
  11. Now this is an election policy issue that should definitely interest expats. https://www.politico.com/news/2024/04/15/devaluing-dollar-trump-trade-war-00152009 Trump trade advisers plot dollar devaluation Advisers close to the former president — particularly his former trade chief Robert Lighthizer — are considering policies that would weaken the dollar relative to other currencies, which could juice U.S. exports but also fuel inflation.
