  1. Well, I can only say my personal SIM number is over 20 years old, and my bank account is over 15 years old. I've had about four new passports since I bought the SIM, but I do have to update my bank account when I get a new passport, only when I'm applying for documents for a one-year stay extension.
  2. Then, if your bank has your correct phone number, what's the problem you're worried about? Unless, of course, your SIM card is regerstered to a different name than your bank account...
  3. if your bank doesn't have your correct phone number, how would they notify you?
  4. I think you've got your terms reversed. Your remark should be, "The rogue Supreme Court will take care of this judge."
  5. I, like most of those on these forums, detest this type of violence and condemn the perpetrators to the fullest. Being woke, I remember the extent of the horrors perpetrated on the Jews in the 1940s by the German Nazis: - They were identified as a group whose existence posed a threat to the state. - They were discriminated against because of their race and religion. - Their businesses, homes, and lands were confiscated by the state. - They were driven into small, concentrated areas. - There, they were starved and killed - men, women, and children, with the objective of exterminating them all. We should all remember these things and be thankful that there is no state doing this to a minority in their land today.
  6. I've been saying this on these forums for the past 22 months, but it has been occurring for the past 70 years... 😡
  7. According to Wikipedia, "Racism is the belief that groups of humans can be divided based on inherited traits and ranked as superior or inferior." According to that definition, DEI is not inherently racist. DEI does not include or exclude applicants based on their race being ranked as superior or inferior. DEI does include or exclude applicants based on how the existing workforce's percentage of race, gender, etc., corresponds with the general public in which the business exists and to which the business provides services. This might result in an applicant's race, gender, and other factors being considered, in addition to their experience and abilities. If any president's cabinet and federal officers were appointed using DEI, there would be about 60% White, 19% Hispanic, 12% Black, 6% Asian, and 1% American Indian.
  8. I wouldn't call them "racists," but they certainly do not practice DEI.
  9. The "playing of the DEI xxx card" in this case and on this thread was just an attempt to provide diversity, equity, and inclusion for terms on all the forums.
  10. Sounds a bit sexist to me. You're right! I meant to say "....... expect lots of non-White women and female transgenders." I fixed my post above....
  11. When people are appointed using ability and DEI......... expect lots of non-White women and female transgenders.
  12. They now allow married and LGBTQIA+ individuals to participate in the Miss (should now be "Ms.") Universe Contest. If that's the case, the next winner could be Bess Leanna, the LGBTQIA+ Olympic boxer! 😮
  13. It shouldn't have anything to do with your 800K requirement for your retirement stay extension. Only Immigrations care about that when you apply for a stay extension, not banks.
  14. I live up in the mountains. I only honk my horn (twice - short beeps) to thank a truck for pulling over to the left and putting on his right turn signal to let me know it's okay to pass. They seem to know that that means.
  15. I don't know how you could tell that since your vision is so low.
  16. I'd think expats would feel more comfortable in bars in which there were police, wouldn't you?
  17. How could such a thing happen in Pattaya? 😮
  18. As long as they continued to be backed up by vaults full of tamirinds, that's okay with me.
  19. How can I, or how would I "sell free books"? 😮
  20. No, I'm not planning on stepping on US soil again, but certainly not while Trump is president, or dictator, or whatever...
  21. Does this mean there will be fewer people "falling" out of their rented room balconies?
  22. I agree with your first two points, but not the last. Non-citizens have the same rights to legal procedures as citizens.
  23. I'm in favor of the death penalty for at least one person in the DC area... 😡
  24. Would I retaliate? That would depend on a couple of things. 1. If there were other Thai men, friends of his, present, then no; 2. If I felt threatened and needed to defend myself, then yes.
