Although non-citizens are not guaranteed all the rights citizens are, isn't this discrimination based on their political choices? In other words, wouldn't this violate their freedom of speech if they were citizens?

Okay, I misread it. It's not 7 CE; it's the 7th Century CE. But 1,400 years, or even just 1,000 years, by the time it reached the Palestinians, is still a long time. In any event, this Forum is about Trump cutting funding for schools that don't punish people who demonstrate against Israel. That, IMO, violates the First Amendment (not the Second). If the demonstrators are breaking any other school rules or public laws, they should be subject to whatever penalties those carry. The schools themselves should not be the victims of Federal punishments.

The Israelis were not around then, either. They were Hebrews then. The Canonites were around 3,000 years ago when the Hebrews took over their land (with force) after fleeing Egypt (according to the Old Testament and the Koran). Today's Palestinians are descendants of the Cananites. Seventy years ago, when the UK (which claimed it "owned" Palestine) first gave part of that land to the Jews, and then a couple of years later, the UN formalized that, there were a lot more Palestinians there than Jews. Also, since then, Israel has, over time, taken over more and more of the land assigned to the Palestinians. I'm not anti-Israel. I am for a two-state solution so that both Israelis and Palestinians can share that land in peace. But I doubt that will ever happen.

I don't deny that Hamas has committed acts of terrorism, but so has Israel, both now in the bombing of Gaza and historically. You seem to ignore that.

This deadly conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians has been going on for at least 70 years, and you could even say 3,000 years. I support the Palestinians, and you support the Israelis. I know that won't change.

"Accused" does not guarantee a conviction, but calling someone something does not make that true, either. No, I don't consider everyone who disagrees with me stupid, but I often consider them misinformed. And, on occasion, I, too, have been misinformed.

They were justifying Hama's attack on Israel and the taking of hostages. That has already happened. That is free speech. It is not inciting violence. Celebrating the IDF's continuing devastation of Gaza and the attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank is inciting violence. Wouldn't you call any military organization accused of war crimes "terrorists"?

You are correct that free speech does not give you the right to attack anyone. It does, however, give you the right to criticize them.

Barricading themselves in private property and stopping classes is not free speech. Criticizing IDF terrorists for their continuing attacks on civilians in Gaza and the West Bank and attempts at driving all Palestinians off their land is.

This law, as described above, would not be as audacious as some would think. For example, right now, if two or three people with guns were to come into a bank's branch and rob the bank, or someone would dig their way into a bank's vault and steal money, the bank wouldn't charge their customers for that loss, would they? So, why should they not accept the risk of doing their business on websites or apps?

Stop signs are mislabeled. If anyone halts anything with the intention of resuming the activity, it's called a "pause." If anyone halts anything with no intention of resuming the activity, it's called a "stop." Now, can we please return to discussing the topic of "reconciling with Trump," which implies that this cessation of talks was a pause?

It's an example of many. "Pause" means to stop temporarily with the intention to continue. "Stop" means stop with no intention to restart.

The best example is my prediction about how Israel will use the Oct 7 attack to try to completely drive all Palestinians out of Gaza and the West Bank.
