We may disagree, and I may be misinformed about some things, but I can assure you I am not ignorant. -

I had to look up the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. I see now it is a book authored in the very early 1900s in Russia. It is said to be extremely anti-Jewish. I did not bother to read it or much about it, but I can assure you I probably do not support the contents and I don't believe Harris' allies do either. -

The Nazi Party was referred to as "National Socialists," but that was just a name. They were not socialists. Read the definitions from Wikipedia I provided above. It's like saying China is communist. It is not. It just claims to be. -

Bitcoin is one of the worst examples of capitalism I know of. It's an attempt to gain a profit without providing anything in return. -

Trump could have done more to stay in office than he did. I'm glad he finally relented and left "voluntarily." I'm not a federal law scholar, but I do think that Biden or any president could declare a national emergency and at least postpone an upcoming election. A president's emergency powers are very broad. I did think the declaring of the large number of votes in Flordia (I forget why that was) was politically motivated and not absolutely valid. And, I think the ruling on the subject by SCOTUS was also politically motivated and did not actually address the matter presented to them. But, all that was done according to the existing laws, so I wouldn't agree that it was "stolen," but I do think the Flordia results were very suspicious. -

He didn't stay in power last time because he finally gave in. I don't think he would give in again. In fact, I don't think he'll accept a defeat in the upcoming election if that's the way it turns out. Yes, I do believe he colluded with Russia. Yes, I have two regular degrees (BA in English and BS in Computer Science) and an advanced degree (MBA). -

I have already voted by absentee ballots (faxed it in). I will not say I voted FOR Harris, but I will say I voted AGAINST Trump. So, yes, I checked the box next to Harris' name. I have said for months now that neither party will accept the results of this election, and yes, I think in either case, there will be "blood in the streets." And I'll be watching it all happen on CNN from my easy chair in my house nestled in the jungle-filled mountains of northeastern Thailand. -

No, a discussion of this sort does not warrant a forum. I could see a forum arguing the benefits and dangers of right-wing and left-wing ideologies but not a debate on whether fascism or socialism is right or left. I'm settled on that. Why do you think Wikipedia is not a source to include in an intellectual discussion? What other sources would you recommend? I have to say that I am not one who continually cites sources when I express my opinion, but on a simple definition of a term, the online Oxford Dictionary or Wikipedia are my go-to sources. -

Trump will at least TRY to stay in power by changing the rules. The way he changes the rules would be, of course, illegal, but he might do something like declare that the election process in the USA was corrupt and declare a national emergency, which would give him, as president, emergency powers, one of which, he could claim, was to postpone the elections. The only glimmer of hope we would have then is that Trump would be in his mid-80s by then, overweight, etc., so he should not have a long time left. I agree with your list of corrupt institutions, but I strongly believe everything would just be worse if Trump were reelected. He would just work to increase the corruption for his own interests. -

I vehemently disagree with you... "Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy." Fascism - Wikipedia "Nazism, formally National Socialism, is the far-right totalitarian socio-political ideology and practices associated with Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party (NSDAP) in Germany." Nazism - Wikipedia "Socialism is an economic and political philosophy encompassing diverse economic and social systems, characterised by social ownership of the means of production, as opposed to private ownership. ... As one of the main ideologies on the political spectrum, socialism is considered the standard left wing ideology in most countries of the world." Socialism - Wikipedia I, personally, have a far-left-wing ideology and strongly support socialism as a goal for the economy of my home country, the USA. -

I decide for myself what corruption and moral depravity are. Do you rely on someone else to decide that for you? What does Hunter's laptop have to do with Trump's corruption and moral depravity? If you're trying to insinuate that others besides Trump are corrupt, I won't dispute that, but that doesn't excuse Trump for being corrupt and morally depraved. -

Bet you take the benefits though... What benefits? I consider Trump a total disaster. Another four years of Trump (or more, since if reelected, I'm sure he'll never allow himself to be removed as president) will completely destroy everything I respect about the USA. Of course, as I said above, his reelection would mean that a large number of voters (not the majority) have voted for him. That means that the USA has a large number of people who think like Trump or have been duped by Trump. Either way, it's a sad, sad situation and indicates that the USA has truly become a corrupt and morally depraved country. 😞 -

A vote for Trump is a vote for Trump. Anyone doing that is a disgrace to my home country, the USA. I just can't understand why anyone would support Trump, but it seems as many as 40% or 45% of my fellow citizens do. I'm ashamed of that. -
I'm sure Zuckerberg and I would disagree about a lot of things. So what? I'm a member of AseanNow Forums, and I don't know that freedom of speech has been quashed by the left, of which I am one. Free speech is a complex subject. The First Amendment sometimes protects lies and sometimes does not. Being a far-left liberal, I believe that everyone should be allowed to express their opinion on something, even if it is very controversial, like even racist comments. I don't think, however, that citing false references to support your opinion should fall under free speech. Here is a link to a good article on free speech... There were no Dems who fueled the recent assassination attempts against Trump. He's the one who's fueled them. The Dems did support the right to freedom of speech. It was the police that overreacted, using violence to try to quell the mobs, that incited those. Yes, I'd much rather see those I don't like locked up than those I do like.

A clear violation of the terms of his presentencing release. He is a convicted felon after all. I meant "lock him up" because of these new actions of spreading misinformation and conspiracy theories about FEMA. He could be charged with "making False Statements" and then locked up pending trial. The UN has already acted on this in 1947. That was when they divided up the area, which was then called Palestine, into areas assigned to PalestinianArabs and Jews. The Jewish areas were subsequently called Israel. Here is a map of that UN declaration. As you can see, the Jews did not have all of that land, and the boundaries were certainly much different from what they are now.

I also have limited Bible knowledge. I was raised a Christian but since have rejected all that "God" mumbo-jumbo, and am now an atheist. I didn't know for sure where the Jews lived before they were enslaved in Egypt, so I asked Copilot, an AI tool, which reported the Jews (Hebrews) lived in the Land of Goshen. Goshen was an area close to what is now Israel/Palestine, but not actually in Israel. The Jews did not "go home," as in RETURING home, but, according to the Bible, were led to Canaan by "God" (kind of like Copilot), where they took the land from the Canaanites. That land, more recently, was called Palestine but is now called Israel. You can read more about all this here: The Exodus - Wikipedia Hope this clarifies things a bit. Whew! 🙂
