The car ran the red light and collided with a blue Honda Wave motorcycle, which had also entered the intersection from the opposite direction. Around 04:45 Kittiwat decided to leave for home on his motorcycle, while she followed at a distance. When she reached the scene, she found that Kittiwat’s motorcycle had collided with the rear of the parked truck. She immediately contacted his relatives and emergency responders. Friends described Kittiwat as a diligent young man who worked part-time on weekends to support himself. On the night of the crash, he had finished his shift at around 23:00 and had gone to visit friends since the factory where he worked was closed the following day. Tragically, he never made it home. Preliminary inspections revealed that Kittiwat suffered multiple fractures across his body, likely caused by the high-speed impact with the truck. Authorities suspect that he may have been riding at excessive speed when the collision occurred. He was brought back to Ang Thong for questioning under an arrest warrant issued by the Ang Thong Provincial Court (No. 266/2567) on December 14, 2024, on charges of premeditated murder. Three additional motorcycles parked nearby were also knocked over and damaged. Two people sustained injuries: Ms. Karnrat Krajangpho, 38, a vegetable vendor, suffered a hip injury and abrasions, while another Thai man sustained minor scrapes. Rescue workers provided first aid before transporting them to a nearby hospital. The vehicle responsible for the accident, a gray Toyota van (license plate from Sisaket), had also collided with the rear of another gray Toyota van (license plate from Bangkok). Witnesses reported that the van was speeding when it struck the vegetable cart. The driver then attempted to flee, losing control and hitting parked motorcycles and another van. A group of bystanders managed to detain the driver, a Thai man approximately 30 years old, who appeared heavily intoxicated and was uncooperative, refusing to provide identification or answer questions. Police transported him for a blood alcohol test, which revealed a level far exceeding the legal limit. Police Lieutenant Kittipong stated that the driver will face legal action for reckless driving, causing injury, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
