  1. Most of the coins I bought are collectors items like double eagles, etc. They are valued not only for their gold content, but also for their scarcity.
  2. There are many factors involved in the rising price of gold. Many fail to see that the debt to GDP ratios are playing a big effect on gold's rise. And it is not only America's rising debt that is of concern. The potential for a disruption in the flow of oil is another concern. Granted there will be corrections in the price of gold and silver, but the general trend is up. Gold and silver coins I bought nine years ago have more than doubled in value.
  3. Another reason Americans are voting for Trump is the Biden/Harris policy of rewarding illegal immigrants with freebies that are denied needy Americans.
  4. Spending more than taxes paid by the rich DOES NOT subtract from the national debt.
  5. One day after the state of Israel was established five Arab countries attacked Israel. As another poster suggested you need to get your facts straight.
  6. My friends in Georgia tell me what you have described is BS. Besides, what does that have to do with wasteful spending?
  7. Violence begets violence. It was Hamas that decided to use foreign aid to fortify Gaza instead of bettering the lives of those they governed. Israel did not invade Gaza. There is no justification for what happened on October 7.
  8. This thread is about you and your fantasies. Don't invite comments if you don't mean it.
  9. I agree that BRICS is a futile attempt by losers trying to take down the U.S. and its allies. As for G7, democratic governments have always triumphed over autocratic ones.
  10. Skewed article? Just like you providing skewed information. Since when can someone be responsible for Congress not passing a bill who is not a member of said Congress? Why didn't Congress pass the bill on your say so? Besides many of the illegals came in before the bill was introduced. Besides why keep passing new laws when the present ones are not being enforced?
  11. I don't waste my time watching either candidate. They both continue to make misleading and confusing comments. You are entitled to interpret it anyway you want to convince yourself your candidate knows what they are talking about.
  12. As a gun owner, I never pickup any of my guns when I am upset.
  13. No mention of emergency (hazard) flashers on Isuzu truck. That might have helped to avoid this tragic accident.
  14. There are more guns than people in the U.S. More Americans than ever are purchasing firearms for personal protection. And it isn't only men buying these guns. More states are passing laws allowing for concealed carry and some for open carry. The police are overwhelmed and are having a difficult time responding to violent crimes. As you say, these are crazy times.
  15. Got in at 5:30 this morning and immigration was nearly deserted with some booths with no lines at all. Pleasant surprise. What's up?
  16. There comes a point in time where they will not work anymore. It can be disappointing and even frustrating, but it is what it is. Consider yourself lucky.
  17. Unfortunately, UNRWA is just another U.N. agency used as a cover for operatives of the worst kind. Wise move by the Israelis.
  18. Just too many things to go wrong with a system that works. Progress often causes problems that don't exist.
  19. Israel left Hamas alone hoping they would concentrate on bettering the lives of the people of Gaza. Instead of Hamas spent a fortune constructing an elaborate tunnel system, basically a fortified underground city. Then came the October massacre. The rest is history. No need for rocket science, as you say, to counter your argument that Hamas was justified in committing such atrocities. Hamas squandered an opportunity to bring a better life to those they governed. Too late now.
  20. Hamas knew that Israel would retaliate for the October 7 massacre. What they may not have expected is Israel's determination to bring Hamas to its knees to prevent this from happening again. There is no doubt many innocent people are being maimed and killed, but unfortunately this is the price of war. Hamas can stop this, but they won't.
  21. I take Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide which keeps my blood pressure below the 120/80 range. I wouldn't call them "dubious meds." Quite affordable and cost effective at $96/year.
  22. This is why banks put a hold on deposited checks until they are cleared.
  23. I agree that increasing criminal activity is a major deterrent. Many outlets have become unprofitable because of it. Unfortunately, things are getting worse.
  24. Seems that you are pleased with the results of Biden's appointees who basically were chosen because they satisfied the DEI crowd and not for their abilities.
  25. While corruption is corruption, at least his business doesn't involve fatal consequences.
