  1. Are you justifying unchecked immigration as a means of keeping food prices in check. Isn't that similar to Biden raiding the strategic oil reserve to keep gasoline prices down? Comprehensive immigration reform? Why not first enforce the existing laws?
  2. When I first visited Thailand twenty years ago I had the same impression. On repeated visits and traveling all over the country with new friends I discovered there is so much variety. Not all Thai food is prepared using the same seasonings. There are so many regional variations. Being from Hawaii I am accustomed to eating all the different ethnic dishes found here and over the years have learned to prepare many of them, including Thai food. Online recipes and suggestions from my Thai girlfriend helps. In fact, she says some Thai dishes are comparable to what her mother cooks.
  3. Time to boycott any company that advertises on CBS.
  4. Don't waste your time trying to understand what the Chinese do. They are totally untrustworthy in honoring any agreements or adhering to international laws.
  5. When joining the U.S. military enlistees agree to follow all lawful orders. Accordingly, the Secretary of Defense has stated that vaccine mandates are "lawful orders." In your opinion, would you classify this as a Hobson's Choice?
  6. Of course employers have rights. I never indicated otherwise. I said there was a steep price for not following the rules. I had my own business for over 35 years and expected my employees to follow company policy. There were consequences for those who didn't.
  7. Prior to January of last year, U.S. military members were mandated to have Covid19 vaccinations along with nine other shots. Unless they were granted a religious or medical exemption, refusal could mean disciplinary action. Outside of the military, many employees, both government and private sector, faced suspensions or dismissals for not getting vaccinated. While no one was forced to be vaccinated there were steep costs for refusing.
  8. Had not has. This was back in 1988 when he had two brain surgeries. It is questionable whether his aneurysm is responsible for his cognitive decline.
  9. True, but they can also omit some facts to bolster their position. As columnist Paul Harvey used to say, "Now for the rest of the story."
  10. Perhaps you forgot what you wrote about Trump. "The proven fraudster and convicted criminal has "been lying" all of his life.
  11. They are all opinionated, leaning either right or left, some more extreme than others.
  12. While the Secret Service is supposed to protect the president from harm, the rules could be amended to prevent the president from harming anyone without justification. I am not familiar with their protocol, but why would this be out of the question? I think this should be given serious consideration. Can't wait for the naysayers to shoot down this suggestion.
  13. You don't know why Biden "lied, but you definitely know that Trump lied. Please explain why Biden's false statements are not lies, but Trumps are. Why the double standards?
  14. All about money? What about Michael Bloomberg? He blew over $500 million, before dropping out and endorsing Joe Biden.
  15. Wrong assumption on your part about my financial status. Thanks for not reading previous posts.
  16. Evidently, you are not poor or working class.
  17. Exactly right. Even if wages are adjusted for inflation they rarely, if ever, match actual rises in the price of food, medical care, transportation and housing.
  18. There is no doubt that deficit spending is a major factor behind inflation. Now that artificially low rates are gone, the higher interest rates to service the debt are compounding the problem. Both candidates offer nothing but more inflation.
  19. Nonsense? You mean like your comment on helping the stock market?
  20. Highly profitable for law firms that specialize in these types cases.
  21. Over the years the U.S. judicial system has become a nightmare for anyone accused of breaking the law. Expect more cases to be thrown out on technical issues. The days of simply trying a case on its merits are over. And this includes civil lawsuits, including torts.
  22. You wrote, "Life is pretty good for most." Why don't you say what you mean and mean what you say.
  23. Monmouth University polls are rated very highly for accuracy and transparency. https://www.monmouth.edu/polling-institute/about/ If it has nothing to do with a potential terrorist attack, why did you bring it up in the first place?
  24. Not according to this: https://www.nypost.com/2024/06/19/us-news/nearly-half-of-americans-struggling-because-of-inflation-spike-poll/
