  1. What makes you think AI will govern in the best interests of the population?
  2. Meet some proponents of open borders. https://www.thenation.com/article/society/open-borders-immigration/
  3. Where has Christoper Wray been for the last three years? This warning should have been sounded loud and clear when Biden undid Trump's immigration policies. Since the floodgates were opened border security has been overwhelmed, unable to do an efficient job of screening immigrants crossing our southern border. Kind of late in the game now. What Wray is saying now directly conflicts with Mayorkas' claim that the border is secure.
  4. A replacement is on the way. https://www.businessinsider.com/us-navy-carrier-strike-group-eisenhower-houthis-red-sea-2024-6 Of course, the big question is, how long will the U.S. continue this operation.
  5. I recently bought a GE refrigerator that is basically a just a bigger model than my old GE appliance. The shelving is flimsy compared to the refrigerator I replaced. Old one made in the USA, new one made in China by Haier which bought GE's appliance division. This will be my last GE product. The Chinese continue to buy iconic American brands, such as IBM's sale of its personal computer division to Lenovo and WH Groups aquisition of major pork producer Smithfield Foods.
  6. This is getting serious. https://voanews.com/a/philippines-demands-china-return-rifles-pay-for-boat-damage-in-sea-clash/7663015.html What will it take before the U.S. steps in and the fireworks starts?
  7. A major concern I see is that all companies operating in China must give the government access to proprietary information. This is definitely a security threat to the U.S. In order to comply, Microsoft was required to give the government access for its Windows operating system. It's no secret how this information will be misused. Next is AI which the Chinese are already weaponizing.
  8. Many wealthy Chinese already know how obnoxious their government is. They are fleeing the country and moving mostly to the U.S., Canada and Singapore. These are individuals with a net worth of ten million to one billion dollars. Last year, about 13,000 left and his year will see over 15,000.
  9. An Australian perspective that agrees with you. https://www.aspistrategist.org.au/the-philippines-high-stakes-options-at-second-thomas-shoal

  11. My first experience with fluoroquinolones was Levaquin which was prescribed for a suspected prostate inflamation. Awful side effects. Tendon in right ankle locked up and the bottom of my feet felt as if they were on fire. Then, my urologist ordered a prostate biopsy out of caution. Results were negative. I have also used Ciprofloxacin for UTIs. Similar side effects, but not severe. When I have taken Cipro in Thailand I have suffered virtually no side effects. Twice I have suffered from urinary retention. After the second time my PCP doubled my dose of Tamsulosin (Flomax). Never had that problem again. Agree, fluoroquinolones are not candy.
  12. Says the man with an impeccable record.
  13. While not disagreeing with you, I think it is still early to see how accurate future Houthi attacks are or will there be a lot of random shots. Yes, I know you addressed the flow of shipping and not the accuracy of missile and drone attacks.
  14. Are you implying that left biased media never publish confusing information. Get real! They all purposely do it no matter their political bias.
  15. If Weiss was assured he would granted authority, why was he denied twice? Who do we believe? Who do we trust to tell the truth?
  16. "Confusing" and "Misunderstood" come to mind. Why hasn't Weiss said what he means and said meant what he said? The confusion and misunderstanding going on is intentional. If it's not then there is certainly a bunch of incompetent people in charge. Either way, they need to be replaced. None of them can be trusted.
  17. In your opinion, what effect, if any, do you think the destruction of seven Houthi radar sites will have?
  18. First, Weiss said, "I have been granted ultimate authority over the matter, including responsibility for deciding where, when and whether to file charges." Three weeks latter he said, "My charging authority is geographically limited to my home district."
  19. Not recalling is not necessarily the same thing as contradicting.
  20. If there's nothing why has the FBI obstructed the IRS investigation, even to the point of running the statute of limitations? If there's nothing why did IRS whistleblowers put their careers on the line? If there's nothing there who's lying?
  21. I stand corrected. I meant fusing vertebra and not discs. . Another procedure used was the injection of papain enzyme. A cat scan was used to confirm that I had a herniated disc. After that my insurance stopped hounding me for faking my injury. MRI technology was still in the evolving stage when I first got injured and not widely available.
  22. I believe it's called indoctrination.
  23. Over forty years ago I was diagnosed with a herniated disc. I went swimming at the beach ever day for year using an large tractor inner tube for resting and safety purposes as there was usually no one to help if I got into trouble. Eventually I was able to go back to work (construction) but suffered off and on for years. I was advised that surgery was risky so I opted not to try it. Fusing discs together did not sound like a good idea to me. I was fortunate to have a good friend who was a workmen's comp claims adjuster who gave me some valuable advice. I stayed away from painkillers because what was available at the time was dangerous or addictive. As the years went by I continued working in construction and the pain eventually subsided. Today at 84, my injury rarely bothers me and I continue with physical activities like gardening, landscaping, etc. Conclusion: physical activity worked for me. I forgot to mention that I have never been inside of a gym, but did modified sit ups to strengthen my abdominal muscles.
  24. I wouldn't call it free if the price is the danger of being attacked by Palestinians.
