Wife Allegedly Hires Hitman to Murder Husband for 300,000 Baht
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
If one party refuses then it's very difficult in most countries. However if both agree (In the Philippines) then it's still damn difficult. Only an annulment is available and they rare as hens teeth...and costly. Speaking from experience on that. I've still got an estranged one running around there somewhere! -

Aussie man sues Thai ex-wife after Danish affair & money swindle
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
There are gold diggers everywhere albeit probably more concentrated in the likes of Pattaya. Surely the Aussie knew what he was in for especially if he knew prior that she was married to a Dane. He's partially to blame based on this story. Nothing is free, there will always be a cost. In this case user pays! -

Is that Bob in Pattaya? (Sorry I couldn't resist a jab at you!) Probably more likely to be GG with one of his playthings. -

A bit like the marketing ploy... Non alcoholic wine. That's called GRAPE JUICE you marketing Imbeciles. But naturally they expect you to pay more for it. The French are renown for their wines. Australia make some pretty good reds, NZ are OK with some whites. Thailand make great food. Play to your strengths. -
Patong Shop Owner Shoots Wife Over Discovered Affair

Conflicting stories... some reports suggested the Russian made lewd comments about her daughter. Either way I don't believe it was the intention to kill the guy...just a warning to back off/down that went way wrong. -

I'm always amused by these Thai names. It's like something Benny Hill or Monty Python would come up with. Noppasin Poolsawat... sounds like a joke name (No disrespect intended) https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DHrcbCW4y9Dw&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwi3laKG8sCGAxVwZmwGHfBnAAUQuAJ6BAgIEAI&usg=AOvVaw1dFO1B3BeWEhpHxb8PcJI3 -

Yes I found that rather odd. True spirits should be at least 40%. Thai spirits is normally lower, like all that stuff: red cock, white cock, white spirits. Rocket fuel! Surprisingly SangSom is still 40% -
Bangkok Implements Stricter Regulations for Street Vendors
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I've had street food in many countries without any health issues including Thailand. I was warned never to have seafood in Hong Kong and yet never suffered when I did. Maybe I have a cast iron gut? Yet my 1st wife got food poisoning from McDonald's in Singapore in the 80s. Id love to see the statistics of tourists admitted to hospital as a result of eating street food in Bangkok... Eating filthy food anywhere can cause problems. -

For Thai wine, I think the term 'sheep dip' would suffice. -

This is true! While on operations in Somalia in 93, the 6th fleet was just over the horizon. One of the ships had a McDonald's outlet on board. Senior staff were known to get a helo out to it just for a feed. I sh*t you not. -
Phuket Beautician Hit by Slingshot in DNA Test Dispute
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Further details emerged: the driver, frustrated over a dispute regarding a DNA test for his child, had mistakenly thought Pirakan was a relative of his ex-wife and attacked her in a fit of rage. The police continue their investigation into the matter. So that was a fair reason to fire the slingshot at her? What a lame piece of doggy do do. A relative of his ex wife... WTF. How about a friend of a relative of someone you thought you knew that looked strangely at you and reminded you of your ex wife, now that maybe feasible! Piss weak excuses seem to be a normal for these folk. Lock em up danno -

I found the same at Lotus'sss a few weeks back. They've changed the alc % from the standard 40 to 37.5. Possibly for a lower tax rate? But the new stock (37.5%) is the same price as the older 40% stock. Wine prices are still stupid for what is essentially red vinegar... Nasty stuff. -
Bangkok Implements Stricter Regulations for Street Vendors
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I miss the old ramshackle ways when nighttime street vendors set up their wares on Sukhumvit road. Sure it was a pain if you were trying to go somewhere quick but the ambience was unique to the area. Haggling with vendors to get a few baht discount. Watching tourists that had no clue pay top dollar. But as they say, time stands still for no man.- 21 replies

I use it too, once I've had enough clap trap from a person then they join that list. I've a fairly high tolerance so some survive but they are walking a thin line. -
