  1. Plenty of roads around the world are like this, the road markings should be enough to explain the rules. The hard part being for people to follow those rules...
  2. I've always laughed at the idea of clamping a vehicle that is causing a blockage; just extends the length of time the blockage is there!
  3. Well done to the person who spotted this and to the person who reported it (not sure it's the same person from the OP). Is he guilty? Maybe, will let Thai police & court decide. Although not stated in the OP, he probably had a scan of his passport taken hence the quick identification. So, he's either massively arrogant and didn't care about releasing his identity, or he didn't know they were fake.
  4. 3 years doesn't sound enough. Neither does 60k Baht. The guy in the grey t-shirt clearly spent a lot of his ill-gotten gains on food!
  5. So, some kind of suicide attack is being hinted at? Wow!
  6. I wonder what Safety Nets the Air Traffic Controllers have access to. Those systems should have been blaring warnings at the Controllers, with the 2 aircraft highlighted on their displays. Never mind warnings on the aircraft. A very sad day for US aviation.
  7. I suspect the vast, vast majority of Brits have absolutely no guilt over the British Empire whatsoever. Probably only exceeded by the amount of Brits fed up by the performance of the last several UK governments of any colour.
  8. Would that be like a Health Secretary making decisions on health, without any healthcare experience?
  9. Between insurance companies doing all they can to block claims, to big pharma bleeding healthcare dry, to Obamacare and everything else in between, it's definitely time for someone to shake the tree. Is this guy the right person to do it? I've no idea, time will tell if he gets confirmed. But the status quo is clearly not right.
  10. Sad story of course. I could make comment on the type of help offered by the police officer, but the fact that he selflessly helped the delivery driver when many other people would simply drive past is commendable.
  11. Completely agree, way too much bashing of citizens of an individual country for the actions of a few idiots.
  12. Surely barely enough for personal usage only? 😂
  13. What about the dogs? Maybe the local chinese restaurants need more gau yook for their menu?
  14. I wonder if the dog owner will be compensating the jailed guy for the dead chickens and related lost income? Of course not, and maybe the guy knew it, hence his attack on the dog.
  15. Yeah! Would be funny to ask it about all of the main world leaders to see how politicised it is. But I won't of course. I might end up transiting one of those countries in the future; I don't fancy an enforced layover.
  16. True. Thankfully not that excited. Just made me laugh.
  17. Cartoon from a UK Newspaper. Not just Google & Meta. Every American & western company and politician, every western & American tech company and media outlet. Such arrogance. Unless the Chinese App is a piss take…?
  18. A good start. Next, the rest of the thousands involved in doing the same elsewhere.
  19. Quite the irony. Golders Green is a well-known Jewish area of London - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golders_Green I'm sure they could hand this guy over to them for a short time, so that he could be "circumcised"?
  20. They did, just not on AN. Or the wider news media didn't want to print stuff about rich folks moaning about rising costs.
  21. This is a joke, right? Trump has been in the WH barely a week!
  22. Of course I agree with you, but... There are things called preemptive pardons, a certain ex US President recently used them. In this case? The reason I agree with the person who suggested a pardon is the amount of time it could take to clear her own name; she might end up even going through a lengthy court case with the risk of her being found guilty for reasons that would only be conjecture. So? I agree she should get a pardon, a preemptive one, so that she can get on with her life ASAP without the stress of a drawn out investigation and possible court case. Here's but one example from the USA - https://www.kansascity.com/news/local/article261741817.html - about 7 months of stress but with a happy ending for her. Here's something from Oz on how difficult it is for women to use self defence as a, well, defence - https://www.anrows.org.au/publication/women-who-kill-abusive-partners-understandings-of-intimate-partner-violence-in-the-context-of-self-defence-key-findings-and-future-directions/ But like I said, I agree with your point.
