  1. What a woke joke. USAfencing should be disbanded, and restarted with Martina as its chief - she is saying what 99.99999999% of the sporting world will agree with. What has been done in USA sport since the President issued his Executive Order on this on Feb 5th 2025? 2 months have gone by with what action? https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/02/keeping-men-out-of-womens-sports/ I know the National Governing Bodies look after their own sports, but (apart from the President) who in the US Government oversees this? I know the Department of State looks after some aspects, e.g. sports diplomacy, but who looks after sports in the US?
  2. The ICC is a joke. Zero credibility. Politically biased, harbouring alleged criminals and arresting far too few of those who have committed crimes that the ICC was set up to process. Disband the ICC now, they are a waste of time and money.
  3. OP is the rightest view. Here's the leftist view about someone in the previous Government. On balance Lammy is neither better nor worse. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/mar/31/sunak-private-jet-trips-cabinet-office-flight-costs In summary, the've all had their noses in the trough, they're all useless scumbags and there is no political party in the UK that is fit to govern and hasn't been for as long as I can remember. At least Lammy hasn't bought a duck island - https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2009/may/23/mps-expenses-conservatives. Yet.
  4. Not many on-topic posts on this thread! 😆.
  5. I'd better not type what I think on this, I may get a visit from 10 British police officers. Even though I'm in China...
  6. https://tridenstechnology.com/tesla-sales-statistics/ Some more evidence of slowing sales and production. Figures on this link are only up to the end of 2024. The OP , I guess, has verified numbers showing the further decline.
  7. Well done to this journalist! If this guy has committed a crime then I'm sure Pakistan can apply for extradition, not sure if someone committing a criminal act can use Article 3; people shouldn't be able to use this Article if they've broken the law.
  8. All the very best Meen, hope you are successful and your children grow up being very proud of you.
  9. I wonder what the standard of inspections were? International standard using appropriate detection devices? Or just a visual check? Or no check at all? Not very inspiring.
  10. Let's hope Cambodia can find new markets quickly so the general population has no suffering, and buys whatever they need from countries other than the US.
  11. Send him to the Ukrainian front line. Let him practice his behaviour there, I'm sure it'll work out well for him.
  12. Whilst women will likely think that this isn't the place where the big knobs hang out.😆
  13. Let me guess, the number of these vehement responses might number in the 10s, when compared to the 10s of millions who don't care. Let's hope the Operations Director doesn't remove it to appease the tiny minority. Reminds me of all the wokeism and DEI; let's pander to the minority!
  14. Yeah, no wonder some countries shout "not our King" and some countries don't respect the British national anthem.
  15. If rules are in place and nobody enforces them, then there are no rules. It's like telling a child they shouldn't do something, then doing nothing when they go right ahead and do it; no way I'd blame the child. I'm really surprised there is no enforcement though, it is very easy tea money for the authorities, sitting right there in front of them. That's how it is in most countries; an easy source of regular income, just like speed cameras.
  16. True. Effective response measures would have been to ensure that this building was being constructed 100% to the letter of all regulations and standards, then it would not have collapsed.
  17. What's now the 4th floor used to be the 23rd...
  18. I heard that beer is a good antidote for earthquake drunk symptoms. Kind of a counterbalance... Hic!
  19. Much as I don't like how these lawyers are making money, they are entitled to be there and to do their job. Starmer has said so too, see the quote. What Sir Kier did before he was PM is relevant of course, but I don't think he's defending the law, rather defending the lawyers doing what they are paid to do. I compare it to a defence lawyer defending a killer who is planning to plead guilty, but the lawyer has found that due process has not been followed so the charges get dropped. As sammieuk1 said, the law could get changed to block this loophole. Or, the defence of a right to a familiy life could get accepted, and the whole family could get deported instead?
  20. Good. I hope something tangible comes from this. I was lucky enough to visit Luxembourg a couple of years ago; I totally recommend anyone going to that area to visit; it's a beautiful country. I doubt too many Cambodians can afford to visit though, but I don't want to dwell on that negative. Anyone on this forum knows enough to know that Luxembourgers would very much enjoy all that Cambodia has to offer.
  21. Well done to the FBI for trying to recruit or create extra assets. Will those attempts bear fruit? Maybe, or maybe not. We'll find out in 9 months if appropriate protection wasn't used. Let's hope they declared this "gift" in their register of interests...
  22. Wow! Sounds great! Happy to see even more iconic attractions coming to HCM!
