I travel from 135km from the airport, not from Bangkok like you. And I have had a few catastrophic journeys, for example in the early days of me living here, when flights were still from Don Muang, and my flight was on April 14. Two other trips where the taxi had technical issues on the toll way, and another taxi had to come pick me up on the toll way. My next flight is in May, and I am retired, so I guess plenty of time to obtain the permit between March and May.

That's why I avoid getting it at the airport. Many things can happen. Taxi can have delay or stuck in traffic, or like you said the desk can be busy, and the flight doesn't wait for you I wasn't sure if the re-entry permit was valid for 12 months whenever you apply, or if it is tied to your extension and expires at the same time your extension needs renewal

A term deposit and a fixed account are one and the same thing, not? -

That will significantly reduce their income (and that of the Immigration officers) That will significantly reduce the number of foreigners with a retirement visa -

Did I mention Bangkok Bank? No I didn't. TTB stands for Thanachart bank. -
No you need to pickup passport next day That was not my question

My extension based on retirement is due for renewal early March. I have planned a trip outside Thailand for May. Can I apply for the re-entry on the day I apply for my renewal, or do I have to wait until the new extension has been granted?

Resurrect old bank account
CallumWK replied to Hikage's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
No it's not. OP says there is a few thousand baht in the account, so it will not get cancelled, only get dormant after 12 months, and you have to go to the bank to make it active again. If there is less than 500 baht in the account, after 12 month a fee will be deducted every month, until the account is empty, then get cancelled -
Foreigners Face New Hurdles in Opening Thai Bank Accounts

So, it is the agents that are causing the panic. It are the banks. I am here more than 30 years, and on a retirement extension. I have had a savings account at TTB for decades. A few months ago I tried to open a fixed term account. Sorry, people on retirement visa can not open bank accounts anymore. Been to multiple branches, and everywhere the same answer. I started a topic about this, where others confirmed the same situation. You think nothing has changed? -

Not sure why you were under the gun, because to get a retirement visa there is no need to fill in a load of documents and go to Bangkok, she just made that up. Of course "they" don't want, but it may be that others decide on that. -
You must be special, because free shipping on Ali is always without tracking. There are so many possibilities of LiFePO4 18650s it is pointless. I know of at least 5 different physical configurations so if you multiply those by the possible maximum charge along with the number of brands etc you are probably looking at well over 100 possibilities so it’s totally pointless to give links that are unlikely to assist Lifepo4 18650 batteries do not exist in 3500mAH capacity, Li-ion has that capacity. Please no need for any more unhelpful posts

Yeah we all read your bragging threads about your cars and you being wannabe rambo. I'm sure the 1 at the end of your username also has a meaning, as that you consider yourself to be the number one -

How strange that I even knew who you were replying to without even clicking on the link in the New Content page. When the mods gonna take action against this scaremonger, posting the same unfounded conspiracy theories for months in every thread, and then asking others for sources that contradict his unfounded claims -
Nissan navara 2010, 250K kilometers, not changed anything but the cabin filters. I'm pretty sure that changing the compressor at a certain mileage is mandatory in any service manual

Exactly that. I had a good time the first 15 years or so, and now I can't care less about what is happening in Pattaya city. I live 15km outside Pattaya, and am single, but if I "need" something I get served,. Furthermore, I don't want to be seen dead in WS or beach road

I don't know which documents you have in mind, but I have accounts here opened 30 years ago, and unless I had opened additional accounts at those banks in the last 2 years, I have been invited to sign additional documents about declaring I have nothing to do with the US. If i opened accounts with those banks in the last 2 years, I also had to sign those documents.
