  1. Which point are you refrering to, what has a law firm got to do with it? This is not a sarcastic reply but I am just a bit confused.
  2. I knew it was a mistake to comment on this subject, it seems the majority of comments come from people who have only ever met girls from bars. I will leave it there.
  3. You seem to be super dim, 50% ? Even more dim, that is millions of women. So when you see a doctor, dentist, or bank clerk you think they were prostitutes at one time, I would go and see a doctor if I had the same mindset as you have. I remember talking to a guy from the Middle East many years ago, he hung around in the expensive hotels in central London, went to clubs, and paid for so-called "high-class" prostitutes, he thought all Western women were prostitutes. Was your mother one? I say this as you are saying the same thing about Thai women. It seems you only hang around with low-class prostitutes and that is why you have such a stupid attitude. I am glad I do not come across low-life people like you in person.
  4. It took me just a few hours to realise how crap Pattaya is and the people who go there so I left. I went back ten years later just to see if it had improved, it was worse. I will give it a try ten years from now.
  5. Do blow-up dolls need paying, you seem to be an expert on the subject, how much do you give to your blow-up doll every month? 😄
  6. That is the sort of attitude guys who have only ever met bar girls have, there is a big world outside of those places you know, and if you do not know that women other than bar girls can also be pretty then it shows your stupidity. I gladly avoid such people.
  7. My only cost concerning my girlfriend was a pump I bought a year ago, she is generally OK for a week or so until she goes flat or has an air leak, she is cheap to transport as well as I can carry her everywhere in my suitcase.
  8. A nice generalisation, but incorrect. I know people who have been here 20, or 30 years, they love the place, I am new as I have only been living here 2.5 years, but have been visiting for six months sometimes over 35 years, not everywhere is as packed as Patong, etc, nice and quiet here in Kathu, of the three hundred and fifty houses in this private residential area maybe ten are farangs, the others are working Thai families.
  9. I am happy with the detached house in Kathu, Phuket, not many tourists here, I hardly ever go to Patong, Karon, or Kata, but when I do go there I feel like I am on holiday even though they are just a few miles away. Life here seems normal as most people living in this area are Thai, but I do like to go to the tourist areas now and then as it is like having a day trip to Blackpool, plus it feels like I am in Europe. "Where did you go today", "I went on a day trip to Europe." 😃
  10. Yet another reason not to go to Australia. In England, if you bought the property before you lived with the girlfriend she will get nothing. My property back in England is all mine. My partner's eight houses in Thailand are all hers, we are both financially independent of each other which must be the best scenario to be in, I am not a walking ATM like most farangs seem to be in Thailand.
  11. It is very hilarious when I hear the many stories from guys in bars crying into their beer as the Thai wife/girlfriend has disappeared having sold the house the guy bought and the car.
  12. Patong yes, try other areas and you will never come across those people.
  13. "However - such is far from the truth, with real estate booming in the island, with both rental prices and purchase prices soaring." That is the best part of it, my partner owns five properties in Phuket, and she is happy if rental and property prices rise. We have seen that property prices in this estate have risen as we see the prices of what houses sell for now.
  14. It is because the vast majority of Western women can not be bought so those types of guys can never get one, but with the availability of so many bar girls who can be bought, they suddenly become handsome film stars, as long as they eventually buy the ex-bar girl a house.
  15. Ah, but all the things you mention never happened or were just PhotoShopped. 🤣
  16. You said, "I will return to Thailand on holiday and as well as part-time residency in the future but it will be elsewhere." Oh no, how will this island survive without your weekly money allowance of three pounds six shillings, and sixpence! 😃
  17. "You can have what is now Phuket jamesphuket10" Thanks, it is a great place to be if one can afford to buy a nice house in many of the unseen nice areas. I can imagine it is not nice to live in very busy areas such as Patong, I can't understand why so many tourists go there and then imagine the rest of Phuket is like that, but that area is far from me and also away from the type of tourists who want to go to Patong. Many tourists miss out on the splendours of Phuket, they ignore the 543 square kilometers of this island and instead, visit the few square kilometers of Patong.
  18. No, I did not see any naked men going into 7/11 as it is not a common thing to happen, there are not thousands of naked guys hanging around outside of 7/11's here. 🤣 Out of around 14 million visitors a year, there are bound to be a few nutters oh and a lot of people with negative unfriendly attitudes.
  19. I never have any problems when I go out and about daily. Even on my daily walk around the reservoir, 90% of the people there are Thai, the rest of us farangs including Russian, we have no problem, no horrible unfriendly people as you seem to meet, people smile and say hello to each other. But if people go around in such a negative and unfriendly way then there is no surprise they get the same reactions back, stay away we do not want skint people with such poor attitudes here.
  20. As is the case in London sometimes. What does help in London is the fact that extremely polluting cars are not allowed inside the M25, all cars, trucks, etc have annual checks on their emissions, Thailand has zero suck checks, and even public transport buses belch out black smoke. Many buses in London are now electric with more and more conventional busses being replaced over the next few years.
  21. The question you should be asking is which idiots believe it exists. 😄
  22. If it did help it would mean Bangkok was less polluted than London as it rains twice the amount in Bangkok per year compared to London.
  23. Wow magic, I didn't know they had cameras in 13th Century England. It was the name of the streets during that period to denote where prostitution took place. That and all the other steets with that name were renamed a long time ago but of course, many people believe anything on sites such as this and still think it exists.
  24. Still a thousand times better than the MOT test in Thailand, yet you said nothing about the low level of the MOT there.
  25. I have a leasehold apartment in the UK, it is currently rented out as part of my pension pot and it has 994 years remaining (true, I am not kidding), I am wondering what I will do when it expires. 😃
