You may have missed my attempt at humour there Lou. Loosen up brother, you are starting to lash out at everyone. -
Russell Brand criminally charged with rape...

Several mentions that there are hopes that Brand gets legal representation. From what I now understand, he is not short of a few quid so why would he not retain his own legal council? Just sayin. -

No flys on you are there Lou. "What you reap you will sow" is slightly bemusing don't you think? -

If Big Dave gets his way, Ol' Russ may have his mouth full so you won't get to hear his voice. -

That will have him puckering up in his nether regions, the thouight of Big Dave dishing out the dicipline. Here was me thinking that the only way that you could get a taste of your own medicine was to either be very good at Yoga or a contortionist... -

How does "What you reap you will sow" work? Sorry if I am missing something here other than any logic. Not sure I've ever taken any notice of Russel Brand. What does he do apart from aledgedly like to give a good licking? -
Yes, booking direct with a property can often be cheaper. For searching around for rates comparison I use Trivago. I used to use Agoda but found that their prices could often be beaten by Expedia, Booking.com and others.

Thai Visa (Retirement)
Sierra Tango replied to wildoates's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
He does not have a property in Thailand, he will be returning home after a short stay to sell his house. There are no tax hassles here, only a lot of noise and predictions that know one yet knows the outcome of. 30 years and no immigration harrassment and can't say I've ever been cheated, unless you count having to pay inflated prices at the Tiger zoo. When I was working full time, showing my social security card would get a "Thai" entry. What's your story, do you live in Thailand and why are you so bitter that you would try and discourage someobne else from living here? -
Bystanders claimed the pickup driver physically assaulted Prayut after the crash, kicking him while he lay injured and even threatening to shoot him if he had a gun. What an absolute tool. Kicking an injured guy on the ground and ooh if he had a gun? Daddy's truck so probably gonna get a kicking himeself...

Until you are. Had that unfortunate experience 15 years or so ago, as we were not told about all of this rigmarole that has no logic, as usual. We were pulled over near Suvarnabhumi about 150 k's from home at that time. License kept by highway police and told to collect the next day. Carried on to the airport to pick up visitors coming in, drove home that night and back again to the highweay police in Samut Prakan the next day. Paid 200 baht fine and given my license back. A fair amount of inconvenience just for a nonsense, obscure law

US Nurse Suffers Devastating Facial Injuries in Krabi Moped Crash
Sierra Tango replied to webfact's topic in Krabi News
Sorry, slight correction Rick. "are a genuine coont" may be more appropriate. Limited as whe are, and rightly so, to the expressing of profanities, I do feel that this is a measured yet adequate summary of this idiot's character. -
Thailand Turns Used Cooking Oil into Sustainable Jet Fuel
Sierra Tango replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
They are making this out to be a new thing but cooking oil has been being collected and refined into bio fuels for what seems like forever. That is all highly commendable and good on them for giving it a go but the logistics of collecting the used oil from the myriad locations that use it will be fairly hellish, I would imagine. Everyone, not only Thailand but many of other countries, droning on about being carbon neutraly 2050...yeah, nah, I doubt it. As for palm oil being used to produce bio fuel, that causes more damage to the environment than burning fosil fuels, Vast tracts of land, tropical forests and wetlands being slashed and burned to create palm plantations are decimating the land through deforestation, habitat loss and green house gas emissions, most notably in countries like Malaysia where the plantations are just bloody massive. So, whomever are the geniuses touting more [palm oil production need to be told what a stupid idea it actually is. -

Agreed. If the airlines don't have it in thier entertainment menu, I won't fly with them! -
This isgetting tiresome, Of course the concrete was below spec. If, as other posters have suggested, the cement was still too green, i.e. had not been left to cure for long enough, it would actually stiil be too damp. The extreme amount of dust produced by this building;s collapse can only be attributed to the concrete being too dry and lacking the correct ratio of water/cement/sand gravel.

Playing cards is a bit lame "The Ralf"! Unless,.... you are into Canasta 😅 -
So, 1. Who were the architects? 2. Who are PKW supervising the project and to what degree did they control compliance 3. How did the Thai government audit department not have construction code compliance audits conducted? 4. Did Ital-Thai actually have insurance cover for the workers or did they palm that off on to the Subbies who more than likely didn't bother? We will probably never know the answers but with a disaster this lethal and this expensive there has to be heads roll, surely.
