AFAIK, decarbing takes place with heat, so heating the herbs in olive oil will have a similar effect. Personally, I would not want to stay in the central area with no view. I think a pool is standard most everywhere. So in effect, you are paying to be on Soi Leng Kee, which is fine if you want to be there.

I certainly haven't clicked on any emoticon, but I guess some people might think that 31k is a bit much for a 32sq.m room in a 3* hotel in a less than picturesque area. Of course if you are in Pattaya for the nightlife and want to be in the centre of that, you may wish to pay a premium for that. But to break the budget for it seems a step too far.
