Personally, I'd just rent a car and do it myself. It would take care of your own transport there also. Renting a SUV in Phuket and returning in Hua Hin a couple of days later costs about 6,000 baht through Budget.

British Influencer's Buddha Tattoo Sparks Thai Cultural Debate - video
Jimmy43 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Looks like that Buddha has a smug arrogant look on his face. Almost like they tried to make it even more offensive.- 140 replies

Note the key part: can be stored at room temp until opened. The heat treatment is irrelevant after it's opened.

I should have said intentionally false and ridiculous. They do it knowing the answer they are giving is false. They think they are being funny, but you are probably right that they are stupid also.

Trump popularity sinks as Americans quickly sour on economy: poll
Jimmy43 replied to bannork's topic in Political Soapbox
Well trump did promise to lower inflation on day one. If he couldn't do it, he shouldn't have said it. -
Check the box, it probably says, "refrigerate after opening" or something similar. Almost anything with protein in water needs to be refrigerated after opening.

Both have super easy refunds with just a few clicks online. It literally takes seconds. Priceline gives you a minimum of 24 hr, but usually longer. They will show the exact time when you search for flights. The cut off time is always the same time of day, and if it's a weekend you get until the next Monday. Make sure you choose a flight that clearly says it's refundable. With Delta be very careful you choose a fully refundable fare. Most aren't.

Hamas Sinks to New Lows with Hostage Body Swap
Jimmy43 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
How is this a new low? Makes no sense at all. Surely the attacks on Oct 7 were worse than switching out a body. -
Correct, with that site and similar sites you get a booking reference, but not a ticket number. No ticket is ever created. They just make reservation and then never ticket it. Most airlines fall for those fake tickets. I don't think we have ever seen a case reported here of denied boarding with one of those reservations. If you aren't comfortable with that like me, book a ticket with priceline and you get a little longer than 24 hours to refund it. Can be up to 72 hours if weekends are involved. Or book a fully refundable ticket--Delta has fully refundable tickets from Thailand to US with easy refunds.

No. 14.28% AN readers just like giving ridiculous answers to polls, so the poll results are wrong.

There are no retirement visas to Vietnam. It's tough to stay longer than 3 months. Not many foreigners live here permanently. Most long term foreigners are like me, digital nomads who stay 3 months then move on elsewhere. Basic western food like peanut butter, pasta is available at supermarkets. The selection is certainly better than on Koh Chang, but not nearly as good as bangkok, pattaya, etc. Cost of living is similar to Thailand, probably a little cheaper. It depends on the quality of place you are looking for.

I hate trump, but anyone blaming him for inflation in his first month is just not capable of thinking. -
Tips for first time tourists, especially western teenage girls
Jimmy43 replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in General Topics
I use grab app with my US phone number. No need for a Thai number. The app sends a text when you first install and signup, but they can do that at home before the trip if they want. For sims, I use e-sims bought online these days. I would recommend airalo.com. I'm often traveling to multiple countries in the region, so I get one of their data only regional e-sims good in most of Asia. If they are using a lot of data, it would cheaper to get a Thai specific sim though. The airport taxis in Thailand are some of the worst in the region. They like to play the game of hide the meter and try to overcharge new tourists. Many also don't know how to use gps and can't find smaller hotels. Better they stay at a decent sized hotel for the first night and insist on the meter. -
International foods can be hard to find in Phils, completely the opposite of Thailand. Any of the big supermarkets in the nicer malls would probably be your best hope. I would try Rustans or Landmark.
