  1. Happy 4th of July to Americans that choose not to live there.
  2. Might as well buy a toilet with wheels.
  3. My FIL has an old Japanese saloon, around 15 years old. It had a few bits and pieces that needed replacing. Maybe 3000THB and it was back to being as good as new. Solid as a rock. Selling one of these Chinese EV junk boxes down the line. Expect nothing. keeping it and repairing little things. Expect to fork out for full systems just to replace one small part. If they can even be repaired by the dealer which likely won't even exist anymore. Avoid at all costs.
  4. Exactly. Read about owner's issues and the costs involved in fixing them after only a few years. Little things malfunction and they have to buy whole new terminals. MG, one guy's ceiling fell off after 5 years. Another needs four new blinkers and system because one is at 50% illumination. Forget the bells and whistles and go for a Toyota or Honda ICE.
  5. BYD will likely be gone in 5-10 years. The same with all Chinese EVs. Avoid.
  6. My son likes Pizza Company. He's young. I'll forgive him. For now. Half the time the pizzas arrive with something like orange thousand island dressing sauce or sometimes a yellow cheese sauce instead of normal red pizza sauce. We order on grab and the menu doesn't specify what sauce is on what pizzas. I've added Thai translated on Google Translate asking for red pizza sauce on both pizzas in the request box on the order. Even adding happy faces and hearts incase they get insulted and angry. 🙄 Both times they have arrived with some yucky sweet orange sauce instead of normal red tomato based pizza sauce. Please post the Thai writing to request that both pizzas have original style red pizza sauce and not some other kind of orange or yellow sauce. Red Pizza sauce only. So it can be copy and pasted into the request box. Thank you very much. ❤️
  7. As is wanting to put your johnson inside the poopchute of another man. If ever there's a place a sane person would not wish their johnson to be, another man's poopchute would most definitely be it. And this guy went one further and put his johnson into a young boy's poopchute? There are some very sick things wrong with some of them.
  8. Please post the law chapter and section number from the Immigration Act 2522 B.E. that you believe is being circumvented. https://www.royalthaipolice.go.th/downloads/laws/laws_03_03-03.pdf Thank you.
  9. Half a century ago?
  10. How many of the viewers are going to travel to Palestine and start killing IDF soldiers because some topless weirdo calling himself Bob Vylan said to, do you think, in your opinion?
  11. There's no need to kill the IDF. Just disband and imprison the leaders for life. 🙂
  12. Start learning Cambodian for when they conquer the whole country. Easier visas. Cheaper wine. Women with bigger coconuts. What's not to like.
  13. Actually you're wrong. The first extension would be done without an agent, 800,000 in a Thai bank. Then withdrawn and invested in Thailand earning more than the 14,000 agents charge for ongoing extensions. 🙂 If the agent avenue becomes closed, the 800,000 is still here to be used without an agent. Not only from the UK. I'm not from the UK. Posters come from all over the world. US, Aus, Canada, Israel, Ireland, etc. Good to know they have all done away with it and posters from those countries can get annual retirement extensions by simply recycling the same 65,000 every month should they wish or need to. 🙂
  14. I'll invest 800,000 here and use the dividends to pay an agent 14,000 per year after the initial extension done myself, more than likely. The RIM may be of interest to British pensioners. It's also a bit interesting to see if IO are onto it. Have the embassy letters thing completely ended now?
  15. Again, you seem to have a hang up about it and start insulting it. A poster was talking about British pensions a few days ago. Some of them were 35,000. That is astoundingly low, if due to life events that is their lot. For them, recycling monthly income may be an easy and convenient manner to get extensions. Just because it isn't relevant to you doesn't mean that it isn't for others. 🙂
  16. That's the question. A lot of people work remotely part-time, freelance etc, Thai authorities have said no problem in the past about working in co-working spaces on non-work visas etc. Some people's state pensions are way less that 65,000. The British one is only around 40,000 or so from what I read. Doing a RIM (Recycled Income Method) would likely benefit many of them. If it is done?
  17. Your need to insult is both telling and sad. This was answered many times. Twice in the post you quoted. 🙂
  18. For aliens that instead of keeping 800,000 locked up for months every year and 400,000 locked up for each year, instead choose to only sacrifice 65,000 while they are living here, and simply transfer it in and out every month in 5 minutes on their PC or iPad. For those who have an income of say, 60,000 per month and little savings. To those that work here off the radar and not in the system. There are many reasons why an alien would find it useful. What the VAST majority do matters not a jot with regards to if it is a viable option that IOs are not onto. 🙂
  19. Recycled Income Method (RIM) should be a term. Simply set aside 65,000 and transfer to yourself every month. Unless IOs are on to it and have a way to stop it happening?
  20. Not really that silly. Retirement extensions are available at only 50 years old. Some 51 year olds might be working remotely from Thailand (unmarried), working outside of the system, working offshore from time to time, semi-retired, while not wanting or being able to tie up 800,000 or use an agent, using different funds to live here. Spending 5 minutes per month transferring the same 65,000 to yourself sounds like a good option for many if all you have to do is present a bank book every year showing the same 65,000 going into and then out of your Thai bank account. 🙂
  21. Why don't people just recycle the same 65,000? Transfer from their home country bank to their Thai bank. Update Thai bank book. Take out and send back home. 30 days later do the same thing with the exact same 65,000? Didn't a lot of embassies start to refuse to give statement letters for immigration purposes a few years ago? Why don't people just do that?
  22. Google Thai banks 12 month fixed deposit rate. For 12-month fixed deposits in Thai banks, interest rates generally range from 1.15% to 1.60% per annum. Specific rates vary between banks and may also depend on the deposit amount. For example, Krungthai Bank offers 1.2% for a 12-month fixed deposit, while LH Bank offers 1.5%. CIMB Thai offers 1.30% for a 12-month e-fixed deposit. Bangkok Bank offers 1.60% for 12-month fixed deposits. Some banks like TISCO Bank may offer higher rates, potentially ranging from 1.45% to 1.55% 1.6% = 12,800 -1,900 extension fee = 10,900 p/a
  23. That is why it's good to do the first year yourself. Put your 800,000 into the bank for a few months, get the first year. Remove the 800,000 and invest accordingly. the annual returns will far exceed the 14,000 price of an agent and they do all the leg work for you. No brainer. Only a fool would not use an agent for retirement extension and invest their funds elsewhere. 🙂
  24. 14,000 as opposed to 1,900 every year, but no need to put or keep 800,000 in a low interest Thai bank, which can then return far more than the low fee. Extension is at the officer's discretion, agents will know them personally 🙂 So many Westerners are old, smelly, rude and stupid, little wonder the officers prefer to deal with Thai go-betweens. 🙂 With all the copies of this and that, and going here and going there, only a real dunderhead would do all that just to actually lose money. 🙂
