Bangkok Since forever I'd submit my extension paperwork well ahead of the expiry date. I had always got the extension back in hand on the date of expiry. My last extension was different. The IO wanted to give me a date that was essentially a three week turnaround. Drama ensued, but I'll spare you that. She asked if we had plans over New Year (we did). I ended up picking up the extension as always, with drama. My question is simply is this a thing now? Is the turnaround 3 weeks OR on expiry date? I now must plan for both of course 🙄 Thanks FYI I've now picked up my extension with no bank book update two years now. I'll still have it in hand for another three years just because 😅🙄

I set up a myss account already when in USA ,but I never saw the point of it. There were serious security measures and the password system was very tedious. I no longer have that password I believe. How early should I begin? I want to draw about 11 mo's from now. I'd read maybe on big SS site four months. Maybe 6 here? What sort of docs will they want?
