  1. i was very annoyed last night while driving behind a new toyota vios. this car's tail-lights are blinding! of course, the irresponsible driver had obviously modified the stock bumber reflectors and installed bulbs on them but how can this be? this is dangerous! the lights are so bright that they are annoying and blinding!

can i or anyone report cars like this? will the chocolate boys listen to my complains?

here is the vios while in front of me... photo is blurred as i was driving when took it and there wasn't enought light.

clear shot while in the traffic.

  2. 'thing is we play different kind of music. i think it's better if we know the kind of music to be jammed so can pop-up and not be out-of-place. i play heavy kind of stuff (just makes noise :D , kidding!) but i would be interested playing something else during jam sessions (fun of course :o ).

maybe TV members would like to share what music they play ie. rock, pop, jazz, heavy, reggae, country, thai, etc. it is also possible to have schedule like monday for jazz/country, tuesday for pop/rock, wednesday for reggae, thursday for thai/country, and friday for heavy/variety. saturday and sunday is whatever... also, audience will be able to know when they will come during the week. re-shuffle the schedule every month...

    just my 10 cents... :D

  3. I have to ask- why the dive gear? Lots of dive operators in Patts, just Google it.

My concern is you might be thinking of self-teaching yourself how to SCUBA, without going through the certification process.

If you already have been trained, and are just looking to brush up your skills and refamiliarize yourself with the equipment, then forgive my question.

    :o:D:D

yes, i'm a certified diver. the reason is, i bought a new regulator that i want to try before taking it into the sea plus i'm planning to buy a new bcd for travel (aqualight or passport). i only need a tank to rent but my buddy who is also planning to dive wants to refresh his skills and he needs full set of equipments. i would actually recommend him to refresh before i buddy up with him, it's for my safety as well.

yes, a lot of operators in pattaya but i just need a deep pool and set of equipment (for buddy). so do you know any pool or diving school with pool and gear in pattaya area? i was informed not so long ago that many of the dive operators don't have their own pool and many of them are using hotel pool (1.5 m).

  4. cheezz, haven't thought about this work permit thing. the law is really screwed up, why do we need work permit to have fun? in another thread not so long ago i have been informed that i cannot even cut my own grass in our lawn...

does anybody play aerosmith, guns, metallica, skid row, or something similar? i'm more on the heavy stuff...

  5. Yep, that's the idea!

    Check your PM for directions....

thanks monty. it's also a resort, this is cool. i'll pop-up with some friends soon. i'm just wondering what type of music do you guys usually play there? better to be prepared...

  6. ok, here is my humble version... i'm not a chef so don't laugh :o

    ingredients:

1/4 cup red wine or beer

    300 grams rib-eye steak

1/2 cup steak sauce (heinz 57, A1, or similar)

    2 tbl spoon olive oil

    salt and pepper

    preparation:

sprinkle salt and pepper on both side of the steak according to your liking, i usually put generous amount of black pepper to spice up the flavour (like pepper steak). add 1/2 cup of steak sauce (marinade) onto both side of the meat and set aside for 2-4 hours or overnight. i normally freeze the meat overnight to sterilise it :D . defrost the meat if frozen. once ready, place it into a pan with a smoking olive oil. adjust the stove to medium heat right away and fry it for 4 minutes on both sides. put it the steak on the plate and set aside. you may have noticed that your frying pan has turned the marinade to somewhat burned caramel but this is OK, you need this caramelised marinade to make the sauce.

now for the sauce, add 1/4 cup red wine to the caramelised marinade on the frying pan to boil stirring it occasionaly in low heat until it gets sticky. this will take around 5-6 minutes. now, add the sauce on the top of the steak and that's it! :D

forgot to mention that also add the remaining marinade in the procedure above or add some more steak sauce if needed.
