  1. It flares up every few years or so. As long as I have been going to Thailand it has been a problem.
  2. Your under China I am afraid. Well you are anyway.
  3. SAIC didn't take over MG, they just bought the name. Why not just trade as SAIC. If the Chinese bought Manchester United, moved the club to Beijing, replaced the players with Chinese, would it still be Manchester United?
  4. Right and spending billions on American hardware as well. When is Europe going to realise that it needs to spend its defence budgets on European hardware.
  5. I don't know the Chinese didn't just start a completely new brand. Trying to pass these cars off as MGs is just a joke.
  6. MGs are cropping up in the UK now. Do the Chinese do not realise that the British know what the MG car maker was and what ever they are now it isn't MG.
  7. 20 miles will get you well out of London.
  8. No not posh at all. I am Londoner also. Lived in Leyton up until age 7 then my parents saw sense and got the hell out of London.
  9. I hate TV ads. I am well used to the T sound being completely dropped so Bu-er and Wa-er but yesterday I heard Pla-inum. Before long a T**t will just be wa.
  10. Agree. I hate the way the media has come to redefine an adjective as a noun.
  11. I have wondered that. Also assume not enough business London to Taipei direct. I can never remember the other Taiwanese airline. Air China or China Airlines. I think they do fly to Heathrow and I assume non stop or via Hong Kong. Again In would have thought not enough business for a non stop flight.
  12. Shouldn't it be news when Thailand doesn't change its mind. Dog bites man isn't news. Man bites dog is news.
  13. Correct a UK court which is why I was asking my useless Labour MP will the Labour party do anything as this was a two year sentence from a foreign court. Let's see just how corrupt Labour are whether they do kick her our of Parliament or do nothing. Given how hot Labour are on crime at the moment. Well with regard to hurty words anyway.
  14. I sent the following email to my Labour MP. Not expecting any reply, he has never replied to any of the others that I sent. "Will it be Labour party and Labour Government policy to have Tulip Saddiq removed as the MP for Hampstead and Highgate? Or as her criminal conviction is in another country will the Labour Government allow Tulip Saddiq to remain as a member of the Labour party and sit in Parliament as a Labour MP."
  15. So it isn't going to happen https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn5lxg2l0lqo Is is too late to put money on this?
  16. It is not fake news. David Lammy is the Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor. This was a serious proposal and certainly not fake news
  17. So we will now have an ethnic criminal MP sitting in the UK Government. Wonderful. I don't suppose she will resign or Starmer have her removed.
  18. Talking about criminal MPs how timely was this https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4g9dyd84lwo The question is, does a criminal UK MP have to resign if they receive a prison sentence in another country or is it only if the receive a prison sentence in the UK?
  19. A few ex MPs who have been successfully prosecuted, John Stonehouse, Chris Huhne, Jonathan Aitkin, Imran Ahmad Khan, Eric Illsley, Elliot Morely, Jim Devine, David Chaytor, Dennis MacShane, Fiona Onasarya and the biggest of the lot Jeffrey Archer. With a list that long you would think that being a crook was actually a prerequisite to be an MP.
  20. Right so they are all the same. Maybe they shouldn't be so quick the attack the one who is going to kick their ar5e5 if four years time. https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/sn04594/ These are just the sitting MPs who have received prison time since 1945. I wonder what Peter Baker (Conservative) did to get 7 years.
  21. I would rather have an MP that made thoroughly stupid comments when they were at school than one that viciously beats a constituent to the ground when they were in a drunken stupor. Or one that breaks the speed limit then coerces his wife to take the points or one that knowingly breaks the law when letting out their property. So deep down Farage might not be a nice person but neither are the other 649. Where I live we have a particularly nasty individual fraudulently taking the salary and expenses of an MP but in fact doing and saying damn all.
  22. Labour and the Conservatives must be crapping themselves so throwing dirt left right and centre in the hope that some sticks. Farage aside both parties have a lot to answer for and instead of addressing their own issues they are just hoping to discredit Reform.
