  1. This alone should deter anyone from applying for citizenship. Inequality for top to bottom and left to right.
  2. If this was true, I mean the motive, I'd support it. Would be the second time I'd support TACO.
  3. Not so, [remitted] Income earned from Jan 1, 2025 will be tax exempt if remitted within two years of earning will be tax exempt. 2024 income will be unaffected. And as a said we don't know how long the new rule will last. Some people here are dreaming they'll get a refund of tax paid this year but this will never happen. The rule might be "retroactive" in that some of the income earned, in 2025, prior to the date of effect of the amendment will be exempt. But the big winners will be those who have transferred their savings made prior to Jan 1, 2024 and kept their 2024/2025 earnings overseas.
  4. Until they do. But then they will address the issue by making the use of PCs illegal for white skinned foreigners. Just as they made mobile banking useless for us.
  5. Use a VPN.
  6. Had zero problem with Bangkok Bank until they introduced face recognition, which worked after two hours and 50 tries. Then when I wanted statements (4 years) for my FCDs, they had to produced them one by one, one a day... Which bank woul you work with for FCD.
  7. When the Thais give numbers such as 10 to 15. Even 700 is totally unrealistic in ground combat, where neither side has made any progress. Don't say airstrikes, because there have been I tiny number of missions flown...
  8. Ohh.. I thought Thai didn't have any syntax. Just bags of words. But that's only from the way the wife makes up her sentences in English.
  9. Well, if that's policy now, it sucks. We should all rethink our banking and possibly rely more on non Thai resources. A hell of a headache though. I have a joint account, FCD, credits card here...
  10. Yep, also what is your visa type, are you married to a Thai?
  11. I did, opened an account with Kasikorn, and two month later they that I couldn't use more than 50,000 of my money in any given day... Useles IMO.
  12. Is it a) a valid ID form your home country? or b) a valid ID form your home country shoving your address in that country? or c) a valid ID form your home country shoving your address in Thailand, or any other country? ?
  13. Bangkok Bank used to be be a great bank, friendly to foreigners, but that's the past. I'll have to see how I can open UBS accounts for my wife.
  14. What are those black things at the bottom?
  15. Simply by not letting him withdraw during that period.
  16. a bloodthirsty terrorist organisation, operating from behind a consenting human shield.
  17. I feel cheated, can I get a refund on my LTR/WP visa?
  18. Thank's my "Go" doesn't mean "resign", meant "Keep up your great work"... This man of steel is doing everyone else's dirty work.
  19. IMO this means "to any [foreign] income earned in 2025. But I'd love to see "onwards" somewhere...
