Yes, had a gastroscopy, had ulcers diagnosed and successfully treated. But worse a fairly long hiatal hernia and Barett Oesophagus were also diagnosed. So for the past 10 years I had daily 20mg Omeprazole and repeat Gastroscopies to check for dysplasia. Taking the medication after lunch an avoiding large heavy dinners prevent reflux and heartburn at night. I think anyone with a long history of reflux/heartburn should get a gastroscopy as there are treatments for dysplasia, which can prevent cancer. Oesophagus cancer is grim.
