  1. look, he resigned as the dem leader (everyone took this to mean for good)... i took him at his word.

he reclaimed the leadership around a month later.... guess we shouldn't have took him at his word.

unless you're suggesting his intention was to resign for a month, otherwise i see it as going back on his word... but of course ye don't why would ye, it is abhisit afterall

YOU took it as meaning for good. Now you're pissed off because he didn't do what you misunderstood him to mean.

    pissed off!! haha, not likely

"misunderstood him to mean"... did you really forget already the part where he "insisted that when he announced his resignation he had no plans to return to the party leadership"

HE took it as meaning for good too.

    lol.

OK. Nuro So you are so up in the air about whether he resigned and went back to work at the request of his party.

Explain, why you are not outraged about Thaksin's resignation and clearly stating numerous times over the course years that he is through with Politics, but no, now it is Thaksin thinks then PTP do.

  2. In the past, shooting someone point blank in the mouth was intended to send a message: Big mouth, talk too much, might have threatened someone, i.e. mouthed off to the wrong person, or may have said he would take the matter to the authorities.

Shooting someone in the mouth is a very personal act and requires effort. It is much easier to shoot someone in the back or the head and to be done with it. There is a message here and I anticipate that as the case develops we will see this demonstrated.

you are right Geriatrick, there are not many reasons for shooting somebody directly in the mouth... Btw... many suicide shooters do it this way...as far as I know atm its not PROOFED yet he was murdered... May be the people trying to hide him was just family found him and dont want to get involved or asked to many questions.... we will hopefully find out sooner or later...or never?

?? Its not proofed yet he was murdered?? earlier post said he was shot in the mouth and 3 shots in the back. Very ambidextrous person to commit suicide by shooting oneself in the mouth then three times in the back.

  3. The police informed Mr. Steve that foreigners by law are not allowed to own or carry guns in Thailand.

That is misinformation, and wrong. Foreigners CAN own and, can register the gun in Thailand, but can not carry them around. You can own it for your protection in the home or your business.

Yes, but they have to own a business and have a work permit, and also a clear criminal record from thier homecountry.

All gunn licenses is for having the gun at home, if you want to bring it around you will need a special license and in some provinces they not give these at all (like Phuket) !

So, what are you saying, you are right, The reply that I posted says, ( The police are wrong with what they said, BECAUSE a foreigner can buy and own a gun in Thailand)

So your point of the reply is?????

  4. What she does with her time is up to her and i can't believe they are still pushing about this it's old news now this but i would not be surprised if it wasn't anything to do with her brother .. coffee1.gif

How is having a secret meeting with property developers while parliament is sitting "her time"? And it happened to be just before decisions were made on compensation for taking up land for flooding.

+ just before the Dep. P.M. and her Brother got indited on the Golf Course Land deal.

  5. In spite of floods and political unrest, there were 19,098,323 foreign visitors to Thailand in 2011. Given the enourmous numbers of visitors, I'm sure that percentage-wise, the number of farang deaths is a tiny amount, probably much lower than that many other countries. The sensationalist headlines that this website constantly reports make it seem like a dangerous place. It's not.

You must be a Thai, with this being only your 2nd post, it seams you are trying to protect your national Image. To make a statement that "The sensationalist headlines that this website constantly reports make it seem like a dangerous place. It's not." You fail to list all the countries that comprise that 19 million people. Are you aware, that of the top 20 countries in that 19 million, Canada is not even listed. Not to mention that the largest number of FOREIGN visitors are from places Asean, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong (all Asian countries), and not Farang as you decided to label them.

  6. Absolutely to lenient, I just read a story about a teenager that has spent the last 10 years in prison, because his accuser confessed that she had lied about the whole thing. And now he is out and trying to get back into his life.

She received over 1 million Dollars in aid and the young man was striped of his youth and maybe his opportunity to play in the NFL.

She should get a penalty akin to the rapist would have gotten. bah.gif

  7. "Thailand has demonstrated serious attempts to suppress IPR violations for a long time."

    Yeah, riiiiight!!!!

    How about this BAD IMAGE****

BANGKOK, 22 May 2012 (NNT) According to survey results by Business Software Alliance (BSA), over 59 percent of computer users in the kingdom admitted to using pirated software on a regular basis.

Findings from the 2011 BSA Global Software Piracy Study showed that 74 percent of those surveyed in Thailand admitted to purchasing illegally obtained software. The survey also revealed that 72 percent of the installed software around Thailand is pirated, with a commercial value of 26 billion baht.

59 percent of the respondents admitted to frequent software license abuse, while 14 percent would purchase pirated software once in a while. Users of pirated software in the country, according to the survey, are aged between 18-44.

BSA spokesperson, Warunee Ratchatapattanakul, said the alliance and related government agencies are launching awareness campaigns, urging computer users to respect software property rights as software piracy hurts the kingdom’s economic growth.

The annual BSA Global Software Piracy Study was conducted in partnership with with International Data Corporation (IDC) and Ipsos Public Affairs. Nearly 15,000 computer users across 33 countries participated in the survey.

  8. Reading this article reminds me of the children's fable concerning the King's new clothes, To just talk perception, her survey says eggs are less than 3 Baht a piece where I buy my eggs,(Tesco Lotus) eggs are 45 to 47 Baht for 10 that makes them 4.5 + per egg. Limes 7 to 10 Baht a piece???? bottled water up 60%. Last year I paid 10 Baht for 20 liters today it costs me 16 Baht.

The everyday items are up,up,up. The P.M. just needs to face reality and quite trying to spin everything with her "Red" tinted glasses.

  9. Yes, it was a plush Van with air front and rear it may been have a 10 pass. it has three sets of seats. he does speak passable English, but his more comfortable speaking Thai.

At the end of the day, when I drive to Bangkok from Phetchabun my gas in my truck cost right at 4,000 and I have to drive 5 plus hours each way and am tuckered out for a couple of days. So, to having be able to relax and enjoy the trip it was well worth the extra of 5oo Baht that it cost me.

His # is 0899598051 and he will go anywhere I believe. He lives in Phetchabun, however he told me the next day he was taking so people to Rayoung.

  10. Dave,

I live in Phetchabun and I have access to a driver with a very nice Toyota 9 Pass. van that in use to go to Bangkok and other places. He is vey safe and a very good driver, I feel very safe while in his van. When I need to go to Bkk or the Airport I charter him for the round trip, He picks me up at my home and drops me off at my home. The charge is Baht 4,500 total. In March I had an occasion to use him to go to the U.S. Embassy for some business. I needed to be in the Embassy by 8:30 A.M. and he picked me up from my home at 11:30 P.M. the night before and waited for my call to pick me up out front of the Embassy about 4 hours later.

I can strongly recommend his service. If you need his phone number P.M. me

  11. my wife has bought 2 for the grandson presumably at the local tescos...now his cousin about a year younger uses them but they get bored very quickly as they prefer the attention from the adults...

The Lotus Tecso near me (Phetchabun) does not carry anything like that. I like the ones in the website PoorSucker sent me. But, I would like to see one before I buy it.

I think all kids that age get bored quickly. The only things I have bought him that he did not get bored with in a week was his bicycle. We took the training wheels off a few months ago.

I got him a razor scooter and he uses it sometimes but, not for hours on end like he did the first couple weeks.

I come from a generation when kids toys were very well built. It seems that most of the toys I get him break in one day. Cheap plastic stuff that just falls apart.

Khun Keith, I am also in Phetchabun; If you go to the Tseco-Lotus there when you go into the store and go all to the Bangkok Bank you will see a shop next to the ATM machine it they have electric scooters and electric 3 wheelers and I think they have electric and gas powered 4 wheelers.

No need to go all the way to Bangkok.
