  1. Is this the same commission that the minutes of previous meetings are being held up for ransom? No way forward with out the minutes being approved. Are these same minutes?

Mr. Abhisit said the talks would be conducted through the Joint Border Commission framework.

I really think that the Thai Government (without insulting the Thai People) needs to have a really check. This is 2011 if they haven't realized.

  2. RE: ib1b4;

Of the multiple YouTube clips on the net with the speeches of these Red Leaders, from their own mouths advocating for the burning of Bangkok and all government offices in all of Thailand, with the stinging of the speech of Arisaman

about the 1 million of liters of gasoline. One needs to have been in a COMMA during Feb to May last year to not of heard the speeches.

Go put your head in the sand again, and don't embarrass yourself further :whistling:

  3. OK They answered the phone this afternoon. They said as long as the pp has > 6 months validity they can issue the visa. I'm not sure if I believe them. I feel like I may get a different answer when I actually go in and apply.

    Anyone have experience with this?

Anyway, I'll give it a go and see what happens....

I did an extension of stay in 2008 and only had 7 or 8 months left on my passport. I explained that I can not get a renewed passport until I have less than 6 months left on my passport. Immigration gave me the extension and told me to bring in the new passport when it gets renewed and he will transfer the stamps.

When the new passport was issued I did as instructed and it was a painless 30 to 45 minutes and everyone was happy, me especially Grin

  4. i agree 100% with those who think that everyone should be equally brought to justice, but what i want to know is who is going to bring abhisit to justice, cuz he is the responsible for the murder of so many inocent proteters and people who did not even took part in the protest??? cuz you really need to be a real naive to believe that the poor soldiers shooted the evil protesters in self defence :( ;not even one of the army leaders has been brought to justice neither, so where is the equality here???

"and people who did not even took part in the protest?" Do you mean the people killed by grenades?

No, how about the journalists, the 25 year old nurse shot and killed in the Wat by the Army Soldiers on the Sky Train Tracks. If you think they are innocent (Army and the Government Leaders) you are very blinded. Just read the Human Rights report

  5. I have done like that, however, I did get off the plane in Sing and went through immigration had a stamp put in my Passport. Then went into the departure hall, went into a restaurant in the terminal ate, had a couple of beers, then went to the gate and waited about 1 hour and took my flight back to Bangkok and immigration put a 30 day stamp for arrival and then went to a party in Bangkok. The flight if I remember was about 1 hour, I stayed in Sing about 2and 1/2 hours and came back 1 hour. The cost at the time was around 5,000.00 Baht. This was in 2005.

  6. Please if you, random/timekeeper have a problem maybe you should be like the Foreign Ministers of Cambodia of Thailand to settle it outside of this forum, just a thought :whistling: : seeing as the two of you have used 2 pages of worth of the forum topic in your battle with no cause and no value. :bah: DO WE HAVE MODS ON THAI VISA????????

  7. User is online whybother

It's good that thugs get put in jail. It's a pity it takes so long.

    Not so fast;

They pled guilty and their 3 year sentence was reduced to 2 years, and their fine of 100 Baht :whistling: was reduced to 66 Baht.

To add to the unbelievable sentence, after pleading guilty and getting a reduced sentence, they then applied for bail to fight the case and it was approved by the court. TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE ??????????

  8. I don't know the law in the UK, however a solicitor should be able to get your divorce without to much trouble.

In the U.S. my Thai wife left me and I did not know where she was living. In court records I signed an affidavit

to the fact that we had not been living together nor did I have knowledge of her whereabouts for the last 2 years.

I was then instructed to advertise a notice of the impending divorce I think for a duration of 4 weeks in the local paper. Then my

solicitor (lawyer in U.S.) and I went to the court with the proof of the notice, along with the petition for the

divorce and presented all to the judge and the divorce was granted with-in an hour.

    hope that helps...

  9. What is amazing to me is Thailand's stance on no 3rd party observers, and can settle all this my ourselves, then turn right around and ask the U.S. to talk to Cambodia and pressure Hun Sen to their way of thought. Just to amazing of these Thai's think they can do and say what every they want without a shred of truth of the facts.

I think at the end of the day they watch to many Thai Soap Dramas and really believe that they can continue with the smoke and mirrors show and no one can see through the smoke.

  10. I'm quite confused about the shame these young topless dancers have brought upon Thailand, especially when I read about Sex Lottery in Sara Buri. And the price of the ticket being 30 Baht for a chance for the happy winning factory worker to spend the night at a hotel, and select his "young" prize for the night from a catalog young women.

But, this does not bring shame to Thailand. "truly, UNBELIEVABLE THAILAND"???????

  11. ...among people in the list of Pheu Thai party-list MP candidates are Jatuporn Promphan, Natthawut Saikua, Arisman Pongruangrong, Kokaew Pikulthong, Wisa Kanthap, Chinawat Habunpad....

Arisman is not even in the country, he is a fugitive right now just like Thaksin, how can he even be a candidate????

It boggles my mind, how the laws work and don't work in this country.

  12. Sorry, but I don't see where all the money is going to live here on a TIGHT ?????? budget of 85,000 to 100,000 Baht a month, unless you are going to the bars everynight or you are a big drinker.

I have a friend here that is married, build a house, bought a house, goes out occasionally, drinks at home nearly every night and spends about 50,000 a month.

From your Budget; Apt: 20,000 (about 10,000 high)

    Food & Drink 14,400

    Spending Money 20,000

    Miscl. 7,200

    Girlfriend Allow 10,000

Talking about your Budget not counting the Apt. that is 51,600 a month just only in spending money and that is about 20,000 more a month that most of the native English Teachers make so at the end of the day on your budget you are living large.

    My 2 Baht :jap:

  13. What I think is that with all the talk about this and how it should not have been filmed especially so that children could see it. And the clip was pulled from Youtube with all the condemnation of it all.

Then when I woke up this morning and my wife turned on the T.V. on Channel 3 as she does everyday, and what do I see-- The complete video at 6:15 A.M. All I can say is AMAZING THAILAND! :whistling::ermm:

So will Channel 3 also be subject to the 5 year prison term and the 100,000 Baht find same as the original poster on youtube :ermm:

  14. Rosana said she disagrees with the practice of setting a deadline for the Senate to pass the three organic laws related to the election by tomorrow.

WOW, isn't that the Red Shirt Senator that was all in favor of Dissolution last year when the Red Shirts demanded it with elections, now we must wait??????

Also, was she the one that was in favor of letting the next government approve the minutes of the Boundary Talks that are over 2 years old ??????

One question comes to mind, does she do anything as a Senator other than procrastinate. Is she in charge of the HUB of PROCRASTINATION?????

  15. I am confused???? When you apply for an extension of stay based on retirement, the requirement is 65,000 Baht a Month.

And the Embassy is putting out: Can now visit as a pensioner with evidence of pension being received or as a person over 50 and retired showing Bank statement with monthly income of 900.00 pounds.

Just for simple arithmetic 900 Pounds times the currant rate of 48.84 only comes to 43,956 Baht a few short of 65,000???

  16. You are always allowed to come the next day after a holiday/weekend without penalty. But much better to do early as there is no loss of time as real extensions start at end of current permitted to stay time regardless of when obtained.

thanks it a 2 month tourist visa from cambodia (sorry should have mentioned)

    stamp says 10th of april

I had to do my 90 day report in Feb and the date stamped on my slip was 29 Feb so I showed up on the 1st of March and told them I was reporting early because the 29th of Feb does not come until 2012. Even the Immigration had a laugh about that. :-)

  17. Of the 18 submarines built for the Bundesmarine (West German Navy), 12 were modernized in the early 1990s and were re-designated as Type 206A; the others have been decommissioned. The current German Navy is starting to decommission some 206A vessels, with more of the new Type 212 submarines being commissioned. In June 2010 the Ministry of Defence announced that all six remaining vessels were to be retired from active service immediately and to be decommissioned by the end of 2010 to cut costs.

The six non-modernized are the ones that Thailand wants to buy, I surmise??

  18. The laws and to Police need to enforce the law, the country needs to have proper Driving Tests.

I am reminded of the attitude of these drivers, about 3 years ago I lived in Korat and spent a lot of time at a local

restaurant. The cook was a friend as well as the owner. I remember being in one evening and the cook's husband was

with a couple of his friends and I counted at least 7 or 8 bottles of empty beer on the table. He appeared to be

slightly drunk. He motioned to me and said do you want to go to Bangkok tonight. I asked why he asked and he told me

that he is driving the Bus there tonight at 2:00 A.M. After that revelation, I decided to never use the bus. And it

was one of the double decked VIP blue buses that run daily between Bangkok and Korat.
