  1. same but different:

if you have a house on a company, there are thai people in it ,know that after max. 5 years (or earlier) their id card nr is also changed!

You have to find them and ask a copy of their new id-card !

If not ,you will have problems if you want to sell your house/land (in company).

Also ,be sure the thais did not marry and migrated to europe ,not easy to find them back and not easy to replace them (since you will need a recent copy of

    their id-card)coffee1.gif

Their Thai ID "number" don't change, but the card does have an expiration date which requires periodic renewal...but the same number is on the renewed card with a new/current photo, issue date, expiration date, etc...but same ID number as before.

You are right, the nr does not change ,but the card is invalid

So i wanted to sell some land (in company) and couldn't because one of the thai company member had an expired id card and she was out of the country .

To take her out of the company you need a valid ID card .

So my advise : cheque on them regularly and write down their expiry date .

the rest of the article is even more strange!

"Police were keen to speak with the truck driver, named as Khun Duan aged 38 by work colleagues, but he decided to run away from the scene of the crash before authorities arrived.

Police are now searching for the truck driver who is expected to be charged over the crash, when found.

So they know who it is ,spoke with him and let him go?

Where did it say they spoke to him?

As i only speak 6 languages and english is only the 5th ,i did  understand "keen "as happy.

Lucky you are there to correct me ,thank you very much.

Since you are so punctual, are you really  happy to live in Thailand?

Correct my mistakes please ,so i can learn.

If you would ever be able to write in another language ,i will gladly correct your mistakes.

    Tx again

  5. Does this mean if you are poor you can occupy the land?

Yes , poor people can ask for land to farm ,

and they will get it ,the only problem is that it is mostly in remote

areas ( up north) and the poor people have to migrate to that land .

If they cultivate AND live on that land for 12 years ,it becomes theirs and

a chanout is given AND they can now sell it .

  6. every thai knows what a tarantula is ,

children( around 10 years) use to go in the fields (check it out yourself,i did it too)

The look for small spiderwebs in the grass ,there is a small hole under them in which

the Tarantula lives. The children touch the web very softly  and the spider comes out (legs first),

then they grab the legs ,and bend them to the back of the spider, keeping the spider away from you

because it will shed the hairs on his body (which can be very itchy )

With a little branch they crush the spiders head to kill it ,remove the fangs, bind the legs together with

a grass leaf ,and roast it over a little fire of dead leaves .

And yes ,eat it ,tastes very good .

You can do this in any field around Nong Palai (Pattaya) and probably all over Thailand .

Nobody is scared for the bite although they try to avoid it .(hurts like a bee sting  they say)

They sell roasted  tarantulas in the streets in Pattaya.

  7. thais are not slow in saving,

they simply never did ,and never will.

"..... for their retirement" ha ha ,they never look further than the next meal.

Most are retired when they leave school .

And most of them are quite happy with their lives !

They dont want luxury ,only a new car and a new motorcycle and an i-phone and booze every day ,

    so just everyday things .

  8. was stopped 6 months ago(railway street ,under Motorway 7 viaduct -bridge in Pattaya)

Had tax sticker ,copy of blue book, driver license ,copy of passport +extension of stay.

After seen all this ,he asked me 400 bht.

I ask why...he inspected my tires (all as new)...came back and again asked my driver license .

I suspected he was going to keep it and did only show it ,did not give it and closed my windows .

He started getting angry, but i was friendly and was 100% ok with regulations.

He then asked for the invoice of the car .....which i did not have with me (in my safe )

That moment my wife jumps out of the car and walks to the other police man sitting on a little table under the bridge,

and she pays 400bht. The copper next to my car said "this is Thailand " i said " Cammoy" and drove away.

Since my wife doesn't want to come near that street ,that is her solution .

So i learned : if police ask for money ,just give it ,smile and continue your way, then start swearing for 10 minutes,lol.coffee1.gif

  9. Is it not clear by now that thailand does not want immigrants unless they are willing

to learn and write thai language, not take work from thais, behave, have money in the bank (so no trouble

is expected, like stealing ,frauding.........)Commitment ,like marriage and children .....Short ,they want only quality immigrants.

    I can't blame them !

Some people use the country for much other reasons ,ex.as a hide away with black money ,as hide away with no money (mostly),

as cheap solution in combination with offshore work.............hundreds of more reasons.

Well thailand does not like this ,and is finally applying the rules ,nothing more .

I hope my country does it too ! There would not be a huge immigration problem .

In this world you can not live where you want ,it is not a free to stay where you want ,your passport

decides where you belong.Globalisation is only for big money/ business ,not for ordinary people .

Wake up ,thailand is no longer a cheap solution for carefree living.

  10. Land of false Smiles?

Beware ,there are "predators" all around you !

Never ever leave your children alone ,not for 10 seconds !

Do not thrust strangers ,not even thai family ,they can go loco in a wimp .

Check on the teachers in the school ,warn them not to touch your children .

Lock your car doors while driving.

Never look for more than 2 seconds to a passing thai lady ,her boyfriend might kill

    you for this .

    Add 100 advises yourself.coffee1.gif
