You are in a way correct but we are talking about a viscious terrorist organisation whose powerful propagandar machine could turn two flies crawling up a wall into some fantasy story in support of its genocide of the Palestinian people. Although just about every claim Israel has made about October 7 and since has been fully refuted, these false claims still stick in peoples minds and continue to add support to the evil regimes murderous actions.

We already have two major well known criminals with evidence against them, even convictions but they will not pay any price for their criminality except via paper bags under the desk. Everybody, and I mean everybody, knows it but they walk free. How is the police force going to be treated any different? A few heads may roll, a few names changed to protect the guilty and the revenue stream but nothing will change. It will all be lost among stories of viscious farang overstayers, nasty graffiti artists, and life threatening peanut sellers without work permits. They are the real threat to Thailand.

In a way I dont blame the locals. I just spent a few days in a public ward in a government hospital in the poorest province in Thailand and the locals could not have been more warm hearted. All the staff were the same, just absolutely wonderful. Why? We dont see many farang around here. I read about the yahoo's in Phuket making it bad for all of us, locals, tourists, expats. Reminds me of the only time I have been to Bali, couldnt believe the mayhem, bogans screaming and shouting in the streets a;ll night, drunk, high on shrooms I dont know. Makes you embarrassed to be a tourist/westerner. Got out the next day straight to the tranquility of a tiny island off Lombok. Imagine its caught up to Kuta by now. But then the ones who are doing the complaining live and work there because they benefit from the same yahoos either directly or indirectly. Its a sign of the times, as everybody wants tourist dollars but unfortunately it all comes at a cost. I kinda think of tourism and immigration in the same way, the problem is too many too soon which overwhelms the system, the economy, the environment and the local culture.

I gave up for a while and the first thing I noticed was how relaxed my parents were suddenly knowing I wouldnt be coming to murder them every week for weed money. Sex is almost boring, the local Pizza Galor and Munchies-R-Us suddenly went broke, my Friday nights became drunken beatings on the wife instead of relaxing in the back yard over a banana milkshake and a lentil salad while listening to Cat Stevens. I only lasted 4 hours before rescuing my pipe from the garbo's. Now I think its making me paranoid. I keep worrying hour long we are going to have to bear the fabricated unfounded nonsense that some polital parties spout in the form of propaganda to suit their own agenda. We did all this in the 60's with Reefer Madness and learnt it was nothing but blatant bulldust. We should also have learned from that history (again) not to listen to the garbage but rather use our own judgement and experience to guide us. Now "Mum, Dad, where did I put the axe?"

Exactly, and not just the big bikes. Seems to me the cops have been caught shining the arse of their pants in overtime and the bubble has burst. Every day the news is full of farang doing this, farang caught doing that. And all these farang suddenly caught just in the last few weeks. Did something happen to turn them all bad suddenly or were they known about before but their activities ignored until theres a crackdown. Seems to me now that a cracdown is not closer scrutiny in certain areas or activities but rather its a kick in a cops pants to get him to do his job.

Correct. I had a girlfriend years ago who did telemarketing however before mobiles and computers. . She reckoned sometimes they went through the white pages from front to back and sometimes they went through the numbers numerically. Anybody who was a buyer went on a list and were the first to get hit next time. The lists were also sold on the open market to other telemarketers etc.

I have worked alonside hundreds of Filipina girls over the years as a teacher and could honestly say they are no different to any other asian girls: you get good ones and bad ones. I had a call from the same number a few days ago. It didnt ring long just like they knew it wouldnt be answered. Coincidentally there was a funny number call just before it, from Nonthaburi, which usually means DTAC or Lazada call centre nuisance calls which I always ignore. I did a google search for the number and it showed +697 and +698 to be voice calls over internet as n00dle said above. The way the 2 calls were so close and the second so short, gave me a strong feeling they were related.

Dead right, kick her out. Kicking a woman, a pregnant woman, and over having to remove her shoes!!?? And its not like removing your shoes indoors is an unusual practice in this country. This 'entitled' beach needs knocking down a peg while Phuket needs to be given back to the Thais.
