  1. Mrs. Trans performed better when she was new, but like tyres, you get used to them....????
  2. Tyres are made up of compounds, every type/design of tyre is different, go into a multi-story car park where the surface is very smooth, most tyres will make a noise on it.
  3. True, my ol' Volvo V6 developed minor leaks forward and aft with syn, I had to dump it, put semi in with an oil seal 'repair' additive, was OK after that.... Not a good idea to use syn in a high mileage mineral oil application either...
  4. Tread pattern with tyre being pushed sideways as well as forward....
  5. Semi syn is mineral oil with stuff added, yes, semi is cheaper than syn, but the costs we are talking about are minimal for the insurance it provides. If your life is on a budget, then use whatever is the minimum manufacturers' recommendation..
  6. No, its booster was N2O....... That 50 year old Pontiac engine with a blower would look more like this....????
  7. My truck used semi from factory, I used syn and semi over the 11.5 years I owned it....My fun ride used mineral from factory, but I used syn in it as it was slightly modified.........????

  9. She's got you sorted out...........????
  10. I have had a couple of tyres on a Vigo for seven years before I changed them. Michelin gives a six year guaranty on installed tyres, just check the side walls for cracking or blisters...
  11. Indeed, basic mineral oil is usually 5kkm, syn 10/15kkm, depends on a particular ride's recommendations, though I do use syn in my runaround, that doesn't need it, and change it at 10+kkm, I think it is good insurance to lengthen the engines life.
  12. 1. I don't know if everybody uses synthetic, my car is designed to use either. 2. Try again, I don't understand that sentence..????
  13. Take it back to Toyota, you know it makes sense....????
  14. There are different qualities in dark tint, some a problem to see through at night, some you can. Your screen already has a UV protection film in the laminate glass, so if UV protection is what you want, the screen will not need much of a tint. You really must do your homework on effectiveness of different tint brands. My old Vigo had dark blue tint all round but only the top 8 inches of the screen, just above eye level, at times I had to open the side windows at night to see if a tool with no lights was not seen. My wee runaround now had dark black tint all round when we bought it, BUT, I can see OK at night through it. Sadly I cannot help you with brand names, do a bit of research....????
  15. Depends on the truck's engine and what the handbook says regarding oil type. Some engines require many litres of synthetic oil, others don't. This link will give you an idea. Punch in your engine details to see their offers.... https://www.b-quik.com/en/product/oil
  16. A post from an honourable member, just to remind folk....????
