  1. As I said, 2000bht (50 quid) is peanuts back home, so here, acceptable. I would approach in this way, to the building folk.. "If you are passing, could you have a look at my project",, other than that you are making an appointment, where the bloke needs paying for his time, after all, we all want paying for our time, though I do sing for free.......................????
  2. 50 quid is peanuts for the services of an expert where I come from.
  3. If Labour were in power, you wouldn't hear a peep out of a few on here...????
  4. Steady on ol' above average height chap..........????
  5. They make their money, cane the scoots, off load it and buy another, a bit like mini-cab drivers back home in the old days..................????
  6. You are right, but the MG owners on here think it's OK, though I think most of them are not British, or they bought within their budget..... ????
  7. Most scooters now are CVT type transmissions, twist and go, my point about Grab riders, belting about on them every day, must take its toll. I have heard a few Grab or similar bikes making horrible noises........
  8. Yes, but even those that hadn't been maintained, actually restored from the grave, ended up being worth big money....???? Amazing what matching numbers can be worth....
  9. After being here many years, meeting many nationalities, in my opinion, we are all very different in attitude............ A couple of nationalities I try and avoid like the plague...........????
  10. That was the reason for my question to the OP.....???? As you know, my chum rebuilds/restores vintage motorcycles, predominantly, Brough Superiors, now we worked together on stuff, and I can honestly say, oil never came into any conversation regarding these very expensive machines.....????
  11. I guess you would know...............????
  12. One doesn't have to be with a bar girl or ex bar girl for that stuff to happen................
  13. Oh, a posh hotdog................????.............????
  14. Yes you are right, though the "since 1924" on the Chinese rides, relates to MG, which was the performance side of William Morris, Morris Garages...Though the MG thing was created by Cecil Kimber... The Union Jack on the back of Chinese MG rides is a bit of a cheek......???? A short read here... https://www.paulrigbygroup.co.uk/mg/about-us/about-mg/#:~:text=MG is a British automotive, that made the marque famous.
  15. Sounds like a hotdog........
  16. Really...............
  17. Well it is a lot easier than a car if you are out at sea, you have lots of room to manoeuvrer and spend time messing about to work out how things work. But, the bloke did the right thing calling for help, he would have time to mess about with the craft, just in case the BiB left it till the next day..........????
  18. I like a hot dog with lashings of onions and mustard, but I thoroughly dislike dogs that have that outer coating you chew through, feels like plastic.... I have tried many, with not much like, or I forget the name of the OK ones...????
  19. Why do you need that done, it could be interesting.....?
  20. Where, how do you manage to find them......? ????
  21. I am so happy for you, if it did,,,,,,,,,,,????
  22. The Guardian, lefty dirt diggers, please keep The Guardian stuff away from me, as well as The Independent, they are for anti-Brit Brits to read.................Thank you.................????
  23. Happy, you are talking to the wrong bloke, ol' chap, besides, I know what real poverty is about from my early days, we didn't even have a phone in the house, very few homes did, now everybody has one in their hand............... So let's keep things in perspective, chummy........????
