  1. Wish I had a quid for every Dab I caught.......????
  2. Yep, folk on here have run down B-Quik, just because they try to sell them something, one bloke run it down because you trip over old tyres there...???? Which of course is total nonsense.....????.... The last I heard the CEO is actually a farang...
  3. I would steer clear of a petrol truck, service stuff costs, maintenance. Diesels are good on juice and are incredibly reliable and provide more grunt. Auto is great, but if you get a problem, then that could be very costly, whereas manual boxes, in anything, are near bulletproof, and clutch plates seem to last forever.. Reliability, I would always go with Toyota, not only because of the engine, but also build quality and electronics. If you can find a second hand Revo, which has the latest engine design, that's what I would go for, it has a timing chain, not a belt, as the previous engine did, which had to be changed at 150kkm. ????
  4. Doubt readers here are all savvy on grease types, plus I don't see the point of even using copper grease unless you have a noise problem, it just picks up cr_p. But thanks for clarifying, would hate to see readers splashing ordinary grease over brake pads from info here....????
  5. You will laugh.....Mrs.Trans drove the Vigo to here mums, about 80km, when she came back she said the truck was making a horrible noise. Hmmmm, jumps in the ride to see what it was, yep, horrible noise coming from under the truck, sounded like a serious drive shaft prob. Anyhooo, drove it to my "friends" at B-Quik, got it up on the lift to check everything underneath, they said it all looks OK, so I get under the thing to search, there must be a problem. After a lot of pulling and pushing I noticed a shiny bit on the split prop, at the floor mounting, on closer inspection looking up there was what looked like an alloy heat shield, it had a nick out of it, looked at the prop, yep, somehow she had driven over something that had come up and hit this shield bending it towards the prop, from then on every time the prop turned it hit the shield, so when driving there was this continuous clattering. I pointed it out to the fitters with a smile, bent it back to where it should have been, job done and the dollar signs that were revolving in front of my eyes disappeared...????
  6. I see no advantage of putting grease on the back of pads, unless copper grease for a noise problem. Open air grease just attracts dust dirt etc, plus its melting point may not be good enough to deal with the heat generated by discs and pads.
  7. But did you know how to operate the 4x4 thingy though......????.......???? I am also surprised they even make them in the USA, if I am to believe your post...????
  8. Lucky chap... Perhaps 4x4's are too expensive for the locals, plus a foot of water is generally not very often each year. I do not live near dirt roads, but when I bought the 4x4 in 2007, the roads were very different to now. My point was, 4x4 can be very handy at times..
  9. Well at least it wasn't one of those on the side of a Coca-Cola fridge.....????
  10. I used my 4x4 to get out of a Temple grounds, a funeral, whilst the rest were scratching heads and looking up to the heavens.... I also used it during the rainy season every year, where the water could be a foot deep in town... I would much rather have 4x4 than all these gizmo's folk are impressed fiddling with..
  11. Low profile tyres, probably stretched onto wider rims, mandatory 50 psi in them, what could possibly go wrong..????
  12. If you renew a day after it expires, you will get 5 year and 364 days, they go by birthdays here. You will have to watch an hour long video, you will have the eye tests and reaction test..
