  1. Actually that is a convincing answer for me ...

who would have ever expected that over 100 party-list folks WOULD be needed? in ANY eventuality except an election as undemocratic as this?

I don't have any issue with the party-list .... just that people will be unrepresented ...

hope the courts do what is right!

  2. gay men are masters of flirting ... on almost every level ... and it is simply social interaction

I read your two examples above and in situation #1 the behavior of the employees flirting with the customer is a bit wrong ... but only a bit :-)

The second situation just isn't wrong at all :D

Though in niether example do I see it as "putting on airs" ... it's not like lying to manipulate someone ... they didn't say "I only work here for fun ... want to go out to my yacht next weekend for a day-cruise?" Oh and how about a nooner? :o

Waitresses flirt for bigger tips .... Customers flirt for the excitement of possibility even when they no nothing is gonna come out of it ... (and pay bigger tips often :-)

It is entirely OK to flirt with the bosses wife at a cocktail party (ONCE! and only in the presence of the boss!)

hel_l ... I've even had bosses (VERY str8 Syrian guys) that I flirted with at company parties in front of THEIR wives ... mainly for the look on their faces ... you just gotta see it ... but they hired me knowing I was the best salesman around ... and sales is about 2 things ... getting the customer happy and off-balance :-)

  3. Air Asia also has a call center +66-2-515-9999. You can book seats via call center and they will charge only 20 B. more and you can collect the ticket on the departure date. If you have credit card, just give them via phone or if not, they will ask you to pay by many ways such as at the Air Asia counter on the departure and also collect ticket. But if you book it online, you will get a code which you may or may not print the e-ticket. You only need to tell them that code. No ticket is required. Only when the promotion is available, the internet rate is cheaper.

For Orient (One2Go), the price is stable and the same all the times. Not goes higher when closer to the departure date as Air Asia does.

But to fly by low cost airline in Thailand, a short trip of round trip on the same day is not recommended as they are always late. You will have a problem of return ticket. Even they should responsible for that but you will sick of negotiation.

    nice first posts

  4. I concur mike .... but is it READING? only in the most basic way ... but it makes life a HELLuva lot easier ....

the women in the local market all think I speak Thai fluently! (utter silliness ... I just go to shops with written info ... (and all women ask the same 5 questions at first ((same with taxidrivers)) so I always know how to reply!)

  5. OUCH ... nope ... that gets done by the condo folks and not at 1:20 am ... and that's one of the few emoticons I know how to make in "fast reply" mode! :o

I have actually found it just easier to hire a maid to do the deep cleaning at both houses and then just do a bit of maintenance cleaning in between the visits!

and this :D is described as a wink in the emoticon list and is meant to take the sting out of comments :D

  6. I can almost see the thread as "someone" (don't want this to be personal) leaves Phuket

    Things I won't miss about Phuket ...

The need to travel anywhere to get a decent meal ...

The constant running out of water to shower, bathe, do laundry etc

    The Rats! (Sorry Micky)

Soi Dogs? did someone mention Soi Dogs?

    Snakes ants lizards geckos etc

    Construction noise and dirt

    Touts!

The constant thought that I am a tourist and will pay what they do!

    etc etc

    Welcome to Thailand!

(Yes I love it here! .. just part of the total package!)

But probably no thatched roofs! YEAY!

  7. hanging out with the secret Service ... the Leaders of the PAD ... and making dangerous forays into areas of civil unrest to get information for us!

I see Captain got another thread closed .... it will surely fall on me and SRJ :o

Now JD... That's trolling for a negative reply for sure. You are even commenting about another thread that was closed.

Nah ... that was making a joke about where the Press was .... re: the post above ...

the second was just an observation :D

  8. Maestro ... there exists a way to fill vacated seats ... however there is no way extant to fill seats that are not elected. After the Parlaiment is seated you can do anything with the quoroms req'd ... but seating parlaiment would require all 500 to be elected. (even if one dies before parlaiment was convened at least the people were GOING to be represented ... and they will be as soon as the seat is filled ... but until someone IS elected ... well you just don't know if those people will EVER be represented

  10. maestro ... see your quote ... 3rd from the bottom to answer where it says you need 500 ... until you have the first 500 you cannot convene because it doesn't exist

quorum (yes likely miused in this instance) is how many people of a group must be present to conduct business ....

however in a democracy ... you cannot have people (constituencies) that do not have an elected official ... particularly one that has not been elected by the people at least at first.. to do anything else makes your government totally non-responsive to entire groups of people

  11. you described a person that believes in things that are not real ... would seem unlikely she can make up her own mind

you are describing a sad sad situation ... but the reality of psychiatric treatment here is almost non-existant ...

    hope she does ok !

  12. I love Air Asia .... but unlike some posters here ... I think of them as a very fast bus ... it is cattle-car service at best.

As for that checked bag .... looked like lots of stuff to get snagged in a machine .... seasoned travellers should know better.

I've flown with Air Asia about 30 times total ... other than some delayed flights I have not had a problem. Then again ... expecting alot for a little will lead people right over to the gems scam thread in the general topics :o

  13. amazing that people still don't get it ...

but your buddy is likely not to get a dime back since he is already back home.

but if he goes to the USA soon ... I have some land in Florida I could sell him at a great price!
